- Mutianyu Great Wall - On this private tour, get to know the places that interest you the most. Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, then begin to head over to the Great Wall at Mutianyu.
Once you arrive at the The Mutianyu Great Wall, you’ll enjoy a peaceful experience and take time to marvel at this wondrous structure and the surrounding hillsides that look north toward Mongolia. The Great Wall at Mutianyu was built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644) on the remnants of a Wall originally built in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577). Reconstruction took place under the supervision of Xu Da, one of the founding generals of the Ming Dynasty, who was responsible for building a Wall from Shanhaiguan in the east to as far as Mutianyu.
- Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - Stop at a local restaurant in the Huairou district, famous for their chestnuts, mushrooms, and trout. Here, you will have various choices of countryside style of cuisine as your lunch.
Head back to Beijing City to explore Tian’anmen Square, home to the National Museum of China, and the great Monument to the Peoples’ Heroes.
- Meridian Gate (Wu Men) - Pass through the south gate to the magnificent Forbidden City.
- Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Forbidden City, a 250-acre (101-ha.) complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions, and gardens that served as the imperial palace for emperors and their households for more than 500 years.
- Hall of Great Harmony (Taihe Dian) - Stroll around the courtyards and halls of the Forbidden city with your tour guide, and learn the histories and stories about this massive palace. You will visit these buildings inside the Forbidden City.

- Palace of Heavenly Purity - Then continue to check out the living quarters in the palace: Hall of Union, Hall Heavenly Purity, and Hall of Earthly Tranquillity.
- The Imperial Garden of The Palace Museum - Your tour of the Forbidden city will end at the Imperial Garden, then you will exit the Forbidden city from the north Gate.
Your guide will drop you off at your hotel at the end of the tour.

Great tour with Susan Shan - Susan Shan led an exceptional private tour, delivering a passionate exploration of China's rich history. Her insights were invaluable, and I learned a great deal during our time together. With Susan's guidance, we covered a lot in just one day, and having a dedicated driver added to the convenience. The lunch provided was fantastic, and the peanut and cabbage dumplings were really good! Susan also shared some excellent tips for navigating Shanghai. Excellent Day Tour! - Sherry was amazing! We saw the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden city while learning a lot from our tour guide. We were then taken to a great buffet lunch and then the Great Wall. Sherry was teaching us so much along the way. Highly recommend this tour!

The Must-See Highlights with Incredibly Personable Guide - Obviously these sights are a must-see for every first-timer (like ourselves), but our very personable guide Susan made our day with her a most memorable and truly informative one. We were provided with expertly and enthusiastically conveyed insights at each of these iconic places. And even though it was a blustery day outside, Susan made every effort ensure we were as comfortable as possible. We never felt rushed or like we were on a tight schedule (even though we covered a lot of ground in one day). We shared some fun laughs with her and at the end of the day we hoped we’d have the opportunity to tour with her again during future visits to Beijing.

Key sites that you must visit! - Picked up at 7:30 am, in a private and confy car, heading to the Tiananmen Square to learn the history of China and communism, then we follow to the Forbiden city, where Lucy my kind and friendly guide provided a clearly and patienly detailed overview of the dynasties of China and information about the arquitecture and design of the amazing Temples.
After learning from China history, we headed to a Buffet lunch to get the energy to follow for a little souvenir shopping, taking a cable car up to the Great Wall and hike for about 2 h. Along the journey, Lucy answered all my questions and helped me to get the best photos of my whole journey, especially in the great wall. She chose strategic locations to get the best pictures!
After our hike, we ended the journey with a little adventure, going down the greatwall through a slide, which is really fun!
In my opinion, this tour is a great choice for those who want to visit key sites of Beijing and learn about them, but doesn't have the time to stand in the long queues!

Excellent guide and fantastic tour - The tour was excellent and our guide Miko was amazing. He gave us much insight into the places we visited and it was very interactive as we had fun quizes from him and the kids really learnt alot. He kept to the timings so we didn't miss anything and he was very accommodating with us. He helped us take so many pics even tho it was bitterly cold. We truly enjoyed this tour and Miko definitely made it an experience to remember.

Fantastic tour with an excellent guide - I really enjoyed this tour - Discover Beijing Tours provided excellent service and after booking messaged me to confirm all the details. The sights were impressive and not crowded, the lunch stop really tasty and the vehicle was very comfortable. Lucy was an excellent guide who spoke perfect English, provided a fascinated commentary and shared lots of interesting information about China. I only had 36 hours in Beijing and this tour enabled me to see all the major sights, highly recommend.
