Your hosts, Lily and Yang, a hospitable couple with two children, are descendants of the Great Wall’s ancient garrison. Their establishment has welcomed international guests for many years, thanks to its advantageous location near the original entrance of the Mutianyu Great Wall. However, the construction of a new ticket office, complete with modern entrances, a shuttle bus system, and retail outlets 2 kilometers from the old entryway, has shifted visitor traffic away. Consequently, their charming restaurant has embarked on a new venture. In the spring of 2018, Lily launched her dumpling-making course. With over three decades of experience in crafting dumplings and sufficient English skills for communication, Lily offers a unique culinary experience. If you’re looking to bypass the commercial areas and shuttle bus queues, and if you’re keen on savoring handmade dumplings for lunch, as well as tasting other local specialties prepared by Lily and Yang, then join us for an unforgettable day filled with the finest cuisine!
