Your driver will pick you up at your hotel in Beijing city center and will drive you to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The ride to Mutianyu section will take about 1.5 hours. Sit back and enjoy the sceneries along the way.
Starting the tour around 7am is highly recommended since you will have more time to explore Mutianyu Great Wall when it is not very crowded. Once arrived at Mutianyu Great Wall, your driver will assistance you to purchase your tickets, and tell you where he will be waiting for you, then you will enjoy your own time to explore the Mutianyu Great Wall. Of course, you can add an English speaking tour guide when make booking, who will explain the histories and stories along the way.
After your tour, you will meet your driver at the place where you are dropped off. You will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
Please note this is only a private transfer service, entrance fee, meals and tour guide are not included unless the related options been selected. Your driver speaks basic English only, and if you have any questions on the road, you can use the driver’s mobile phone to reach out the local operator.

Highly recommended - Everything was perfect. Our tour driver Zhao Jinfu showed up in time. He spoke good English and was amicable all the way. We skipped all the lines with this tour reservation so it was very efficient

Trip to the Great Wall with private driver Yu Yongtai - We had a great time going to the Great Wall with our driver Yu Yongtai today. He was always on time, provided us with drinks in the car and helped us with the tickets. This really helped to make the experience smoother.
After visiting the wall, he went above and beyond and helped us to find a place for lunch.
Overall, a very friendly, helpful and flexible driver!
I would really recommend booking this trip with Yu Yongtai if you are planning to go to the great wall.

The best way to visit the Great Wall - We booked a Private Roundtrip Transfer to Great Wall of China, Mutianyu section via get your guide. Our driver Sun Zhisheng was more than just a driver, he bought our entrance tickets and cable car tickets. He explained everything to us through his very cool translator and gave us all the information we required. He also came up on the cable car and took some pictures for us. The car was spotless and comfortable. We were supplied with delicious snacks and water which was needed in the 30 degree heat. He was super friendly and helped us with everything. He also brought us to have tea and experience a traditional tea ceremony. I would rate this trip and our driver Sun Zhisheng 10/10. Would highly recommend Discover Beijing Tours.

Impressive tour with excellent tour guide - Linda Su and her driver Zhang arrived at my hotel in Beijing at the agreed time of 7am and we made our way to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Our drive was comfortable in an air conditioned late model sedan. The wall itself was impressive and Linda tailored our time to suit my fitness level and helped me take lots of amazing photos along the wall - showing me all the best vantage points.

Safe and knowledgeable driver - Yu Yongtai was a great and thoughtful driver. He brought us bananas anticipating that we would get hungry. He communicated with us well and walked us right to the cable car ensuring we wouldn’t have any difficulty getting in. I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone else visiting Beijing.

A very good service - Today we went to the Great Wall of China in Mutianyu with Sun. He was very punctual and picked us up in the hotel lobby. During the trip he explained a lot to us and we arrived safely. He provided us with plenty of water and bananas and we had a great conversation using the translation app. He waited for us at the Great Wall until we had finished looking. If we come to Beijing again, we would definitely book trips with him again. Thank you very much for the pleasant and interesting experience.

Best of Beijing. Don’t look elsewhere!!! - I used Discover Beijing tours years ago when I went to China so I found the email and booked with them again. I can’t stress enough how much I recommend them. We were two American girls traveling alone and we had the absolute best service ever. Their flexibility is something you just can’t find in the USA. We were picked up at our hotel by Wang and he was so fun! He wasn’t English speaking but he used his translation app so we were able to communicate. He picked us up at our hotel, drove us to the Great Wall and then drove us to the airport afterwards. We left all of our luggage in his car and felt totally safe to leave it. They took care of buying our entry tickets and the closed cable car tickets so it was super easy. He took us up to the wall and took lots of pics for us. And we all laughed a lot. The language barrier didn’t stop any of the fun! When I go back, I would never consider using any other tour company!!!

Totally worth it - We got a nice driver named Sun (pronounced Suhn), and a very clean VW sedan. He was right on time and took us straight to the Great Wall. Based on the description it sounded like we had him for a total of 8 hours so we asked him to take us to The Nest afterwards which he was happy to do. Note - Beijing traffic ain't no joke so try to leave the Wall before 2pm. Our driver was very nice, and while I speak very basic Mandarin he had enough English and enough maps to communicate with us. He also takes you to a parking lot where they sell tickets and he waits for you. So there is no time limit for you to spend at the wall. The price is the same at the ticket parking lot as it is at the wall itself. We chose to take the open cable car (freaky!) up and the toboggan down (you can choose to take the cable car down if you want) but the slide is super fun! We chose to do this instead of a group tour because they force you to go to lunch and stop at some shopping sites which we didn't want to do. The group tour cost about $40 USD per person so this one was about $45 more but worth it for us! (Oh you also have to buy the tickets up which is about $25 USD per person, whereas on a group tour it's included)
