Absolutely fantastic. We were picked... -
Absolutely fantastic. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the restuarant for a Peking duck meal. Our guide ordered for us and then left us to enjoy the food. We were then taken to the show and shown to our seats. The show was brilliant and our car was waiting to return us to the hotel.

The tour was ok, but we felt rushed... -
The tour was ok, but we felt rushed from start to finish. We were told we would be picked up 5.30-6.30pm, but the guide showed up at 4.20 (before we were ready). We were driven in a very nice car to the Red Theatre for the early 5.15 show. There were some spectacular bits to the show, but overall we were a bit disappointed - it wasn't really a kung fu show. The minute it finished (the guide was waiting at the exit door) we were driven to a decent restaurant for dinner. The guide kept checking us every ten minutes to see if we had finished our dinner, which pressured us to hurry. We were back at our hotel by 8pm, 3 1/2 hours after starting (and 1 1/2 hours was in travelling). It felt as though she could not wait to get rid of us. Not the best tour we have done, but admittedly it was Chinese National Week holidays, so the guide may have preferred to have been elsewhere.
