The entrance near the bus stop leads to a cable car that takes visitors about two-thirds of the way to the peak.

The Juyongguan section is the closest part of the Great Wall to Beijing, slightly nearer than Badaling, to which it connects. Built to match the challenging terrain, Juyongguan Pass served as a strong defense for the ancient city of Beijing. Visitors can see many historical structures, such as towers and temples. The western stairs are quite steep, while the other side is more gentle, suitable for both energetic individuals and those less inclined to physical activity.

The tour operator cannot guarantee an English-speaking driver. Depending on availability, guests may have a Chinese-speaking driver, but they will know the pickup and drop-off locations.
