Qingdao Railway Station - Your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Qingdao and transfer you to Qingdao Railway Station. Relax during the 4.5-hour bullet train ride to Beijing.

Upon arrival, your tour guide will meet you at the exit of the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name on it.

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then begin your tour at one of the world’s largest public squares—Tiananmen Square, which houses the National Museum of China, the mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and the Monument to the People’s Heroes.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - From there, pass through the South gate to the magnificent Forbidden City—a 250-acre complex of courtyards, palaces, pavilions, and gardens that served as the imperial palace for emperors and their households for over 500 years. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987.

Temple of Heaven - After lunch at a local restaurant, continue your tour to the beautiful Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped the God of Heaven.

Follow your tour guide to explore the temple and learn about its history and the stories behind it.

Back Lakes (Hou Hai) - Next, stroll along the Hutong alley to discover the local lifestyle. You can also walk around the Houhai lake area if you wish.

Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing. (Please book your own hotel in advance.)

Great Wall at Mutianyu Section- Summer Palace (L)

Mutianyu Great Wall - Your driver and tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at 8 am and take you to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. This section is a bit more rugged and slightly less crowded than the more famous Badaling section. Over 96% of Mutianyu is covered with trees and orchards.

Follow your tour guide to hike up and down different towers, and enjoy the convenience of a round-trip cable car ride or a toboggan ride at the wall.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - Continue to the well-preserved royal garden, the Summer Palace. Renowned for its beautiful landscape and spectacular architecture, the Summer Palace is listed as a World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most classical gardens in the world.

After visiting the Summer Palace, you can choose to be dropped off at your Beijing hotel to end your tour in Beijing, or return to Qingdao.
