Nice mix of urban... - Nice mix of urban neighborhood —with insight into the hot spa culture and the geology of the nearby national park with its history of volcanos, sulfur steams and wild buffalo. Knowledgeable guide who adjusted well to our needs for easier walking. This is a unique part of Taipei that is recommended for those with a call for the outdoors with its cultural highlights.

Great Tour - This tour was fantastic thanks to our guide Molly. Our group was small and we were able to complete all the stops efficiently with no rush. This is a must when visiting Taiwan!

Lots to see and do! - The tour starts from the entrance to a metro station in Taipei. As promised, we had air conditioned transportation to Yangmingshan, where we hiked and our guide Molly kept us well informed of what we were seeing and some of the history of the area. We had ample time at each stop to hike, take photographs, and visit the museums listed in the description. Wear good shoes & bring an umbrella. Again, shout out to Molly for doing a great job!

Best day with the best tour guide! - Peter was absolutely phenomenal as a tour guide through Beitou and Yangmingshan! From the moment we met, his infectious enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the area made every moment memorable. He didn't just show us the sights; he made us feel like old friends, sharing stories and insights that enriched our understanding of the local culture and history. Peter has a gift for connecting with people, and it showed in how he tailored the tour to our interests, making sure each of us had a delightful experience. His recommendations for local eats and hidden gems were spot on, ensuring we enjoyed the authentic flavors and sights of the area. Our day with Peter was more than just a tour; it was a joyful adventure that left us all smiling and more connected. He is genuinely the best tour guide we've ever had, and anyone would be lucky to explore Taiwan with him. Peter didn't just guide us through beautiful landscapes; he made our day truly happy and created a bond that made us feel like we were wandering with a knowledgeable friend. Highly recommend him to anyone wanting a personal and heartfelt tour experience!

Day trip to Taiwanese Countryside - We went on this tour back in April, it was an amazing tour and nice to get out of Taipei and see more of the beautiful countryside. Our trip was made very special by our brilliant and funny tour guide named Peter, he really loves his job and was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the tour! We really enjoyed Peters company on the tour and we even had dinner with him before we left Taiwan. He really made it special for us and made sure he was attentive to everyone on the tour splitting his time evenly between everyone so they all had a great experience like ourselves. Thank you Peter, from Edison Tours you're great

Scenic mountain views, water buffalos and relaxing hot springs - If you like taking a leisurely stroll for some beautiful mountain views, then this is the trip for you. You also get to see water buffalos up close, which was great. Obviously, there is a fence there for our protection. Also, learning about the natural hot springs and getting to experience dipping our feet into the hot springs after the stroll was a very nice experience as well. The hot spring museum in Beitou hot spring museum was very educational as well, and a place to relax after the walk. It has been a great experience and Yuki, our tour guide, has been an exceptional guide. She has been very informative, entertaining and interactive with us, and has been very helpful with helping us order food and supplying us tissue to dry our feet after the hot springs. She was also giving us options on how we want the tour to go. I find her honesty about the appeal of certain parts of the tour very refreshing and I appreciate that. Besides the humidity, everything else about the trip was great.

Excellent tour even on a hot June day - Molly was an excellent tour guide. She had great energy and so much information to share. We enjoyed getting to see so much of this special part of Taiwan. The grasslands were a much cooler temperature which was a great relief and also a beautiful experience. The fumeroles were a unique place. As was the flower farm we visited after lunch.

Interesting but Beitou is a waste of time. - We had an excellent tour guide. His commentary was excellent. Lots of information. The part of the trip where we went to Beitou was a waste of time though. We went to a Hot Springs Museum and saw the outside of the Beitou LIbrary. Super boring. Felt like it was just added to stretch things out and make it a full day rather than a half day tour. Also, the place they take you for lunch only takes cash and there is nowhere to eat or drink if you don't have cash. No ATM in the village either. Would have been helpful to know that before we got there.
