Belfast after dark - Marti loves his hometown of Belfast, and his pride shines through as he winds you through the city core telling you stories of the street art, architecture, pubs, and the history and moral principles that form the essence of Belfast. He's quirky, genuine, and I swear his voice sounds a bit like Van Morrison. He takes you to the Belfast that the locals adore, and will help you avoid the touristy traps. Take this tour when you visit Belfast, you won't regret it.

Marti is very quirky but... - Marti is very quirky but once you get his sense of humour and personality you'll have a great time.
His knowledge of the city is 2nd to none.
We wanted an alternative to all the usual historical tours and we were not disappointed.
My friend and I were lucky enough to be the only ones on our tour and Marti showed us so much including the brilliant array of non political street art aswell as several bars to have a taste of several of the many genres of live music available . He also took us off the beaten track to discover places we would not have known about otherwise.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend Marti and this particular tour.

A great alternative tour with a quirky guide! - Marty is a very quirky guy . Once you get his sense of humour you will have a great time.
My friend and I were lucky enough to be only ones on our tour and it was brilliant.
His knowledge of the street art and all the local venues is second to none!
We wanted an alternative to the usual historical tours and we were not disappointed.
It was lovely seeing the non political street art and hearing all about what it represented in terms of the positivity alot portrayed for the city's future and the work being done there in the community, for example, several pieces that had been created as part of teaching sessions with budding artists and others promoting the charities helping the homeless.
He also took us to several bars showcasing different musical genres and took is off the beaten tourist paths to show us places we would never have found otherwise.
After nearly 3 hours together we saw and learned so much and had a fantastic time. I highly recommend Marty and hope his relatively new business becomes a success for him. Thank you Marty x

Eclectic, Entertaining and Fascinating - Both the City and the Guide! - Belfast is a fascinating and complex city which requires an equivalent guide to show off some of its sites... Look no further than Marti! He integrates a brilliant mix of street art, history, great chat and (very importantly for some) a number of the excellent pubs that the place is famous for. Our whole group loved the experience in spite of taking place during a semi-inevitable downpour - Highly recommended if you like something which doesn't conform to the stereotypes of what a tour should be, in the best ways...

Book this tour as it will truly elevate your Belfast experience! - Marti gave a great tour! I couldn't recommend it more! He shared his knowledge of all the street art, that present for some time as well as that appearing with just a few days. The music scene differs by day of the week, but Marti knows all and will ensure you have a great time! Everything from a ukulele jam fest, to a Filipino from NYC rocking it, to traditional Irish. Great tour, outstanding guide, book this tour as it will truly elevate your Belfast experience.

A great insight into the street art & live music culture of Belfast - We really enjoyed our tour … a taste of the pubs and music available to enjoy while staying in Belfast. We loved the music so much I could barely tear myself away from each pub as the tour went along. Each pub was better than the last. It’s worth doing the tour early on in your holiday so you can make a plan to visit the places you like the best during your stay. The street art was great & Marty took the trouble to email us interesting links to follow up which was appreciated as well. Many thanks.

Nice idea but better doing it yourself. - We picked this tour as we wanted to see a different side of Belfast with the street art and also to experience some of the live music that Belfast has to offer. Our tour guide met us and took us to view the street art of which he was very knowledgeable, however if he didn't like it he would just skip over it even if we had questions. The street art part of the walking tour took about 30 minutes and felt rushed. He also throughout the walk criticised the other tours we had been on.
We then went to the first of what was meant to be 4 pubs to see live music. The atmosphere was great and before we had even got our drinks, he was trying to get us to hurry up and leave. He did recommend for us to get half pints but due to a mistake by the bar staff I got a pint which he was not happy with and made comments about my drinking habits implying I had a drinking problem (I rarely drink and at most average a pint a month over the last few years so this was very offensive). He was the one that recommended to try the locally brewed beer and I was trying to experience all that was on offer. At the next pub he again questioned mine and my friends drinking habits. My friend had a low alcohol beer as due to health reasons he doesn't drink alcohol. This was questioned by the tour guide as it wasn't the beer he recommended despite being told he doesn't drink alcohol. I had half of the beer he recommended and he had a go at the barman for pouring slightly more than half a pint in a pint glass. His behaviour really made us feel uncomfortable and my friend left and went back to the hotel leaving me to pretend he was not well. I then shortly after made my excuses and left and he followed me for 15 minutes making me feel even more uncomfortable. This is the second time I have been to Belfast and the first time I have felt like this as it is such a great city fully of very nice people!
Overall the street art is worth seeing and we went back a few days later to see it in our own time and we went and found the live music ourselves but this can be done on your own. I would recommend that you do a little research and do this on you own or in your own group.
