Troubles Black Cab Tour. - This was a great snapshot into the history of the Troubles. Our driver/guide was Joe and he was a very knowledgeable man who had himself lived through the Troubles and was able to offer a unique insight through the streets of Belfast. His own personal story added to the experience and I think it made a difference that we had done a slight bit of research regarding the Troubles which made for a good conversation with Joe. He was happy to answer any questions that we had so it wasn’t just a one way thing. We were taken to many places of interest to see memorial plaques and murals and stopped for a few photo opportunities along the way. We both really enjoyed the tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this for anybody interested in the Troubles.

Highly recommend - I highly recommend taking this black cab tour. Our driver and tour guide Billy gave us a detailed history account through his own experience having grown up in Belfast. Billy was an absolute gent and we would highly recommend taking a tour with him. The tour was so informative and very interesting and it is a must for anyone visiting Belfast.

Barry is First Class - I had been on a black cab tour before. When i came back to Belfast i had to take my wife on a tour. Barry absolutely blew the other tour out of the water. It was absolutely incredible. Barry's personal insight and he depth of knowledge of the troubles is incredible. He is genuinely a great human being that brought tears to our eyes and laughter to our hearts about a personal and painful time for the people of Belfast. I thought I a had an understanding of Irish history and I was blown away. Barry's tour is first class. I would only recommend Barry to anyone traveling to Belfast. After the tour we not only felt like we had a better understanding of the history of the north of Ireland but we had a friend in the north.

Excellent Tour With Barry - Barry our guide grew up through the troubles. He was really knowledgeable and passionate about it which made for a very interesting and engaging tour. We all left with a different perspective to how we started the tour. Barry also gave us recommendations of films to watch regarding the troubles. All in all an excellent tour which we would highly recommend. In addition to the tour Barry also gave us recommendations for bars and restaurants all of which were excellent. Thank you!

A must for any traveler to Ireland - Highly recommend! Barry, our driver/guide was awesome, a walking passionate encyclopedia of Irish history. We got a full 2 hours worth of college lecture. As an American, I only knew a little about the Troubles and was way short on the history, background and gritty details. (Americans don't know much about Cromwell - I do now!). The whole thing is complex and confusing. Seeing the murals, gates and walls is an eyeopener. Jim and Diana - from Iowa, USA

A must do trip to gain an insight into a disturbing part of our history. - The tour was fantastic. Knowledgeable and non biased and gave the full background on the various places we visited. A harrowing and at times disturbing experience that I couldn't believe happened on our doorstep. Paula was a fantastic guide and I would highly recommend.

A Sobering, Beautiful and Heartwrenching Travel through Irish Hsitory - One of the best tours I've ever been on. Bryan had encyclopedic knowledge of Irish History going back millennia and he brought the entire story to life in a such a sobering and beautiful manner. This is worth every penny.

Balanced perspective of the Troubles - Our tour with Paula was extremely well balanced for a full perspective on understanding the Troubles. Additionally, her sharing the detailed history of Ireland provided necessary details to appreciate the significance of the time. We highly recommend the tour for immersing oneself in seeing first hand through the eyes of those who experienced this during their lifetime. It is a very emotional tour and well worthwhile. A highlight was signing the Peace Wall, giving hope for the future.
