According to mythology, Finn built the Causeway as stepping stones to cross the Irish sea in order to battle Benandonner, a Scottish giant. Although a giant himself, when Finn reached Scotland he saw that Benandonner was almost twice his size, and immediately retreated with his rival in pursuit. Finn’s wife disguised him as a baby, and on seeing the child, Benandonner fled home fearing how enormous it’s father must be.

Beautiful locations - Pictures don’t do Ireland justice. Giant’s Causeway and the Dark Hedges don’t feel real but they very much are! I appreciate the additional little stops on the way. Godfrey was very knowledgeable and funny. Daz our driver was professional and handled all the twists and turns gracefully.

We had a wonderful day - This was a lovely way to see some pretty amazing sites and not need to worry about driving. We were driven ample time at each stop, but the one thing that bummed us out at the Dark Hedges was that some people were not back at the buss at previous stops when asked to be. That’s by no fault of our tour guide or the bus driver. The last stop at the Titanic experience was a cherry on top for sure.

A lot of tour for the money - I really enjoyed seeing the countryside of Ireland and it's just beautiful. The tour guide was Extremely Loud on the microphone and spoke constantly. He thought he was a stand-up comic, an impersonator and a singer. He was a nice fellow and tried to make sure everybody had a good time but it was a bit much. As far as value, you couldn't have asked for and a more inclusive tour for the money. I was able to take some nice pictures of the coastline and a castle as well as some other natural phenomenon.

Finn McCool tour was ok - This was 1 of 2 Finn McCool tours of the total of 5 tours I did over my 2 week vacation. This was the better of the 2. I booked this one because when I booked it the description included Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge. This was a major site I wanted to experience. The day of the tour is when I found out not only were we not going to be able to cross the bridge, but we also weren't even going to stop there! The tour guide (Ryan who was very good as was our driver) was telling tales (Blarney) the entire tour so we thought he was joking. I posted the question on a Face Book page for people travelling to Ireland to ask questions. That is when I found out that the bridge has been closed to tour busses for over a year!!! I received a request from Finn McCool Tours on how hard Covid has been on their business, how they are working hard to rebuild their business, etc and to please write a review. I would think that with them trying to rebuild their business, they would have accurate information on what the tour does & doesn't cover. The guide & driver were awesome and totally made this tour passable. My overall suggestion is to confirm before booking, there are so many tour companies, you will not miss out if you don't "book right away".
