Highlights
  • The Belgrade Fortress - After hotel pick-up, we will drive to Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan park. This is the place where the most distant past can be seen, and where Belgrade started as a human settlement a very long time ago. It is the most logical spot to begin unfolding an unusual and exciting story about Belgrade - the ‘Crossroads of the Worlds’.

You’ll enjoy superb views at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, New Belgrade and Zemun, and see the excellent open-air exhibition of the Military Museum.

  • Knez Mihailova - After visiting the Fortress of Belgrade our tour continues to the heart of the city, the Republic square, with a monument to Prince Michael, and buildings of National Theater and National Museum. In the area of vibrant Knez Mihajlova pedestrian street, participants have some free time, and a refreshment break (30. min|) is offered. One drink is included in the tour price.

  • St. Sava Temple - After the break our tour continues with the panoramic ride: enjoy seeing Terazije with the famous Moskva Hotel, National Assembly, City Council (‘Old Court’), Kneza Miloša Street (with some scars from the recent conflicts still visible), luxurious residential quarter of Dedinje, Memorial of Marshall Tito, Red Star soccer stadium. After the panoramic ride, we stop to visit St Sava Cathedral, one of the largest churches in existence.
Aside from its enormous size, this church dedicated to a Serbian medieval prince and a saint is featuring the largest mosaics in the world, covering a whole interior area of approximately 17000 sq. meters. A must-see.

  • Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church - After the St. Sava church visit, let us see more of Belgrade highlights, by continuing with the panoramic ride. During this stage we will see Slavija Roundabout with its fountain, King Milan St. “The spine of Belgrade”, going to “Old Town” and passing by Orthodox Cathedral (1845) and the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church. We will see Princess Ljubica’s Residence, the first modest ruler’s palace from the time when Serbia liberated itself from the Ottomans, and the famous Question mark ‘?’ Inn, the oldest restaurant in the city (1823), and the only one with such a strange name in the whole world.

Wonderful tour through the history of Serbia - Srdjan is a terrific guide - friendly, patient, and filled with knowledge of the history and politics of Serbia. My tour spanned historic, cultural and social landmarks complemented by Srdjan's deep knowledge and ability to discuss sensitive subjects dispassionately and objectively. Srdjan knows and understands Belgrade and is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. I learned a great deal and truly enjoyed the tour

Well done tour of a terrific city! - Our guide was Sophia and she introduced us to the history and sights of Belgrade. We were very pleasantly surprised by this gem of a city. The people were friendly (and quite beautiful) and the food was fabulous! Sophia provided an instructive and illuminating course on Belgrade - the White City.

Interesting tour with ecellent guide - My friends from Turkey have visited Belgrade (and me) so we booked the city tour. The tour was very, very, very ineresting, informative and enriching even for me who was living here a few years. We visited the most important sights and heard some ineresting stories about it from our friendly guide Srdjan. Btw, Srdjan thank you for being such a wonderful host and this amazing experience.

Wonderful morning - Wonderful morning with a super guide (Surgen). He explained everything very clearly without going into data overload. The fortress and military exhibit were very interesting. And the confluence of the two rivers were beautiful. I must admit the St. Sava temple was the high point of the excursion. The story was so interesting and the structure is stunning. Ended in the Bohemian section of town with a nice walk and a superb lunch.
