- Nohoch Che’en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve - This tour offers a chance to explore the Ancient Ruins of Altun Ha and the caves at Nohoc Chen Park. Witness the mask of gods, climb to the top of the Temple, and float through the cave system with the guidance of experienced tour guides, while enjoying the natural formations. Depending on your preference and the water conditions on the day of the tour, kayaks or inner tubes will be used. With a paddle in hand and a life jacket, you will navigate your own kayak along the river, supported by our enthusiastic guides who are there to motivate, encourage, and assist as needed. Kayaking is a fantastic family adventure, especially for those with teenage children – the minimum age is 13. For guests who prefer to float on tubes while the guide powers the tube train, we will provide tubes instead of kayaks. Please inform us of your preference when reserving the tour.

For millennia, our ancestors utilized the cave system for living, conducting sacred rituals, and storing food. Embark on this journey to the underworld with us. We supply the headlights, helmets, life jackets, kayaks, and an experienced guide. Fully equipped, the guides lead you along a forest path, explaining the local uses of the plants encountered on the trail. At the cave’s entrance, the guide provides insights into the cave’s layout, kayaking equipment familiarization, and the kayak route. Here, you will observe impressively large cave entrances with a crystal-clear river flowing through them. As you paddle, you will navigate through a series of caves and witness numerous formations. The guide will point out spots to pause, rest, and enjoy a refreshing swim. The paddling continues through the cave systems until reaching the exit, where sunlight sparkles on the water and birds can be heard singing on the riverbank. We store our gear, use the facilities, and prepare for the drive home. Reserve now.
