Cave Kayaking was so FUN! - This was such a cool experience! We took an hour ride into Belize. Our guide, Sharon, spent this time telling us all about Belize. We feel like we got to see the "real" Belize. Then we hiked about 30-40 minutes through the jungle. Our guide, Fab, told us all about the plants and animals along the way. We even saw and heard a howler monkey! Walking through the jungle was such a cool experience. Make sure that your waterproof shoes will stay on your feet. You have to walk across a river 3 times during the hike. The kayaking itself was about 90 mins. There were lots of groups tubing at the same time. However, if your group is able-bodied and looking for some adventure, you should do the kayaking for sure. There were single and double kayaks. We went in and out of caves. We stopped to swim and rock jump at one point which was fun. Two kayaks from our group flipped during this excursion, but the river is fairly shallow and the guides got everyone back on track. Don't do this excursion if you have little kids or thr elderly, but DO do it if you are able. It was amazing!

Sharon, who was our guide... - Sharon, who was our guide on the bus ride, did an excellent job giving us the history of Belize. Our bus driver and kayak guide also did an excellent job.

Exceptional experience - Naz was an exceptional tour guide. We were lucky and got a private tour. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and explained the fauna on the jungle walk to the kayak starting point. Going upstream with the kayaks we didn’t see any other people. Highly recommend over tubing if you are adventurous.

Fun and strenuous activity - Super fun activity. We were all in double Kayaks. It took about an hour to get to the location and then about 40 minutes to walk to the river. Our guides were fantastic. There were a few locations that could have been dangerous but our guides got out of their kayaks and made sure everyone was safe. Those were areas that were a lot of fun but if you make a mistake, could be dangerous.

Experience of a Lifetime! - Amazing private tour! Our tour guide, Freddie, was incredible!! He made our experience amazing and exceeded our expectations. This excursion was the best excursion we’ve ever been on. Don’t be afraid to book this because you’re on a cruise. They make sure you get back to your ship!! The views were spectacular and it was truly an experience of a lifetime!!!

Unbeliezeable Experience! - Abner and Sharon were amazing. Sharon with the facts about Belize on the way out and Abner during the kayak experience. The roads in Belize are bumpy and yes the drive is long but just know that going in! We had about 45 minutes to spare on the way back just make sure to communicate ships time and last tender time. Highly recommend doing kayaking over tubing but you need to know how to kayak as there are a few small rapid areas. Definitely wear shoes like crocs or rent them (3 dollars) for the hike in. Also highly recommend leaving anything you don’t want wet in the buses. You’ll have varying levels of kayak experience in your group which can lead to you flipping or getting flipped as we did. No biggie hopped right back in. Only thing I can say negative is that we wanted to kayak single but not enough kayaks so my wife and I had to do double. Minor inconvenience. She wanted to drive so I mostly just relaxed and took pictures and videos. Highlights included all the bats, seeing large cat tracks (not sure which it was but they were large) and going silent/dark in one of the caves. Unforgettable experience we would gladly do again in the future!

Amazing experience - This experience was so much fun kayaking through the jungle of Belize. We got to see jaguar prints in the sands near the caves, bats in the caves as we kayaked through it was dark so we used helmets with a light to see. All around had an amazing time wasn’t the best kayaker and the guide was amazing in making sure everyone was having a good time and staying safe.

No kayaking, tubing at same price. - The kayaking was canceled due to high water and ViV substituted cave tubing. Problem was they charged the same price and subcontracted it out to another tubing operator. Tubes were dirty and muddy, no facilities or running water at the site, and long drive from town. Wound up eating our lunch on the return bus due to time and made last tender to ship by only 20 minutes. Our tour guides were friendly and helpful but don’t feel the tubing trip was worth $90.

Disappointed, but understanding. - Unfortunately, we did not get to do this adventure due to high waters in the section of the cave where this is done, but they substituted a tubing option in a different cave section. That was fun, but not what we had hoped for and expected, but most of our cruise was like that due to TS Sara.
