ITINERARY FOR THE WEEKEND OF NOVEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 1, 2024

Pre-Christmas Adventures in Belize City: A Weekend of Culture and Exploration

Experience the magic of Belize City this pre-Christmas weekend with a blend of cultural exploration and adventure. With mostly clear skies and comfortable temperatures, it’s the perfect time to delve into the rich history of the Mayan civilization and embrace the vibrant spirit of Belize.

Discovering the Mayan Legacy

As the sun rises over Belize City, the air is filled with the promise of adventure and discovery. The weekend kicks off with a journey into the heart of ancient history with the Mayan Kingdom Tour. Starting at 8 AM, this tour is a deep dive into the rich tapestry of the Mayan civilization. With the weather forecast predicting mostly clear skies and a comfortable temperature, it’s the perfect day to explore the wonders of the Mayan world.

The tour takes you through the majestic Mayan Temple Altun Ha, where you can hike to the top and soak in the breathtaking views. As you venture deeper into the jungle, the experience becomes even more immersive with a thrilling cave tubing adventure. The gentle winds and low cloud cover make it an ideal day for such an outdoor escapade. The tour concludes with an exhilarating zipline over the jungle canopy, leaving you with cherished memories and a newfound respect for Belizean history.

“Definitely worth it - Josh and Kobe were absolutely amazing!! Josh’s knowledge and passion for this experience was incredible. Kobe was very helpful for me, I am 7 months pregnant and he guided me and helped with my tube. I opted out of zip lining- but my boyfriend had a blast. I highly recommend this tour- and request Josh and Kobe!” - Reviewed on 2024-09-23

A Cultural Tapestry

The next day, as the sun peeks through the partly cloudy skies, it’s time to delve into another chapter of Belize’s rich history with the Xunantunich Adventure. Starting at 8 AM, this tour offers a glimpse into one of the most dominant Mayan cities in Meso-America. The weather might bring some rain showers, but the moderate winds and high UV index make it a day to embrace the elements and explore.

Crossing the Mopan River by ferry, you’ll be transported back in time as you marvel at the six large plazas and 26 different temples. The views from “El Castillo,” the second largest man-made structure in Belize, are simply breathtaking. As you climb the temples, the guide’s stories and insights bring the ancient city to life, making it a must-do experience while in Belize.

“Trip back into antiquity. - Percy, our driver, gave us a great feel for the people and country of Belize. He was very informative. Our tour guide, Javier, gave a wonderful explanation of the temples, the mythology and theories behind them and the Mayan people. The personal touch for the entire trip was great. Thank you.” - Reviewed on 2024-06-19
