Fun experience with superb guides - Floating through underground caves is one of the top tours in Belize and you can find dozens of companies that do so with tubes. Far fewer use kayaks, which allow you to paddle upstream from the common entry points and escape some of the crowds. Going Coastal ran a very professional trip. Benjamin handled the paperwork and our guides were Marcos and Hernan. Our trip consisted of our family of four and a group of six and we both drove ourselves to the start (no special vehicle needed and very safe parking of our luggage-filled vehicle). The other group was delayed over a half-hour, so Marcos took the four of us for a more leisurely hike while Hernan waited for them. Marcos taught us about the flora and fauna of the jungle and my son tasted some termites. He spent some time in the dry caves along the way and taught us about bats in the area. Shortly after we reached the place where they put in the kayaks we were joined by the other group (who presumably made more of a bee-line during the hike). We paddled upstream a ways and stopped for lunch. It was a very nice meal of chicken burritos. On the way back we swam in a cenote and my kids enjoyed jumping down about 10 feet from the rocks. We also saw some examples of Mayan artifacts and learned about the sacrifices they did in the caves. After kayaking some more you exit the river very close to the parking lot. There are showers and changing rooms to switch into dry clothes. I can't say enough good things about our guides, who were knowledgeable, courteous, and very hard-working. Be sure to tip those guys!

Excellent experience & highly recommended! - 100% recommend this tour! They went above and beyond to accommodate our special needs and we couldn’t be more grateful. Additionally, the guides handled everything with extreme professionalism & were very well educated to share so much knowledge. We felt safe and well cared for throughout. Lunch was so yummy and we really couldn’t think of anything at all that we’d want differently. Communication prior to the tour was very good. Sonia your if you want something more adventurous!

Stunning Cave Kayak Adventure for our Family - The most amazing, fun adventure! We are a family of five (with 3 teens ages 18, 16, 14) and this was such an incredible, exciting kayak cave experience. Francis and Oscar were our guides and had so much knowledge to share with us. My family had a great time and the delicious homemade lunch made by Oneida was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this adventure to all. Especially, if you have teens and are an adventurous family. You have to see it with your own eyes to appreciate and understand. A must do!

Perfect day! - This adventure will not be forgotten! From the moment we got into the back of the pickup truck and headed thru the citrus fields surrounded by breathtaking views and crossing the river bringing us to the start point I knew this day would be a blast! We did a private tour so it was just myself, hubby and our 14 year old son along with Jason and Kenny. The kayaks are inflatable so really comfortable! Also very durable! There was definitely some bumping into the cave walls! The caves themselves are breathtaking and wearing your own headlamp allows you to see where you are looking. The cave windows you come across were my favorite! Then coming out into the jungle was like a movie set! Just gorgeous swimming in the crystal clear water! These guides were the best! Jason and Kenny know every inch of these caves and the Mayan history surrounding so not only is it an adventure but also a great history lesson! My son got to jump off a ledge in one of the caves and we swam through this tight little underground area that was really cool! You don’t need to do that part but with a teenager it was a must! The cave burritos these guys prepare for lunch were delicious with the best homemade tortillas we’ve ever had! I highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for something a bit different than the typical cave tubing experience! Jason and Kenny we can’t thank you guys enough!

This is Must Do while in Belize - This trip was fabulous! Our guides were terrific and had lots of great information. The caves were amazing and we enjoyed swimming in the beautiful blue water. This is an adventure that will be added to the list of Must Do’s when I have visitors. Well worth the money, no doubt. You also need to add Excalibur Adventure Park to the list while up that way. It’s another must do by these guys!

Fun and refreshing kayak tour! - Excellent tour. The team at GCA did an excellent job, equipment is in good shape, guides are trained and certified. The cave kayaking was fun and we also really enjoyed the short portage through the jungle. Following the easy river through five caves, we were grateful that we saw no other groups until the last ~10% of the tour.
