Best private tour service around! - Percy from Royal Belize and adventures was absolutely amazing! He helped me to create a custom tour experience where we were able to visit for different attractions over two days. He was very responsive and easy to work with when it came to travel and planning and had very good suggestions as we wanted to visit places that were "off the beaten path.". He was punctual, responsive, it was an absolute joy to travel with around the country. He hired very experienced guides and we had an amazing adventure. We did the ATM caves with a guide named Ibernadine Tzul and she was absolutely fantastic. The food provided was very good and he had all of the supplies needed to make our day go off without a hitch. We had no complications and a very smooth experience and would highly recommend him for anyone else looking to plan private tours around Belize. The guides were even able to help take photographs of us while we were engaging in the adventures, so we have memories to take back with us that we will cherish forever.

No regrets, worth every penny! - I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this tour! We were picked up in Placencia by the owner, Percy, who drove us all the way to the town near the cave in record time! Very nice guy and he gave us some awesome information about the flora and fauna along the way! We were handed off to Jam Jam (Jamir) for the rest of the drive to the start of the trail, as his vehicle could handle the road in! We hiked in with him from there! He was an awesome guide! Nice, funny, and so informative! It was so worth the extra money to have a private tour! Jam Jam told us about every step up, or down, in the water (and out) so we didn't get tripped up, or hurt! He knew short cuts in the cave, so we could bypass other groups in the cave, but made sure we didn't miss out on anything! We even got a little extra treatment, taken through some narrow gaps off to the side of the way we came in and everyone else traveled, and even one little slide down and through! That made me pause, small gap and trusting the water flow, but it was worth it! Aside from the awesome treatment and all the great stories, info, and jokes... (the guide you have is really the cherry on top btw), the cave itself was AMAZING! So many natural wonders, artifacts, and bones! You will swim, wade, squeeze just a little a couple times, and even climb! The last part is walked in socks, to protect the cave. Do NOT miss this tour! ♡ You will end this awesome adventure with a meal at the trailhead. Jam Jam brought fresh chicken, rice/beans, and the most amazing tortillas, from a local gal in town! You will have to relive this in memories, as phones and cameras are not allowed on the trail or in the cave... you will understand when your see the damage people have done to the pottery and worst of all, the skulls! It's sad to not have photos, but just think, aside from photos that already exist, anybody else that wants to see, will have to go themselves to enjoy what you have!

Tour operator (Percy) is a criminal. DO NOT BOOK! - Percy is a criminal. He advertised this private tour on Viator and allowed me to book for myself for $300. The day before, he demanded I pay him $100 more in cash as I was a solo traveler. Having planned this for a long time, I had no choice but to agree. I could not tell what this trip entailed, so asked him what I should wear and bring. He told me to bring swimwear and a change of clothes, which I did. He did not mention that you must swim for large periods in your shoes (you are not allowed to take them off) and when I showed up at 7am in a pair of £200 trainers he told me I needed crocs or waterproof shoes. He tried to find a place to buy them for me on the way but of course that was impossible. As a result my trainers were ruined and, not being suited for the trip, caused me to slip and fall three time. When I saw him after the tour, he told me I should have read the listing with respect to footwear but then admitted that it said nothing about footwear. Most important, after having paid, now, $400 in cash for a private tour I was put in a group with five other people. I could not hear anything the guide said--I was last of the five on our tour. Percy refused to refund any of my money. I have all of this documented and have filed a crime report with the police in Belize City. I will also file a complaint with the US consulate here. Do not book anything with Percy. He is a liar and a thief and will scam you at the first opportunity. I would highly recommend the ATM Cave tour but with any other operator. Please proper equipped--and everyone else had been properly informed by their tour operator as to what to wear--seemed to love it.
