Great experience with Truly Wild Belize in Placencia. - Our family recently returned from a holiday trip to Belize and used Truly Wild Belize for our airport transfers to/from BZE and for all of our tours. Israel did our airport transfers and was our guide for the Jaguar preserve/river tubing and the Xunatunich& cave tubing. He was a wonderful guide who was punctual, a continuous wealth of knowledge, and went out of his way to make sure we all had a great experience. He offered to make extra stops along the way and offered us drinks throughout the day. We did not see a lot of wildlife at the jaguar preserve, but it was still a nice hike, and we had a lot of fun river tubing. The cave tubing was a highlight of the trip for all of us and we enjoyed seeing the Mayan ruins as well. One word of caution, the steps up to the top of the ruins are uneven in places and there is no railing, so I would not recommend walking to the top without good shoes and a good sense of balance. On the hike back from cave tubing after the ruins, Israel fortunately spotted a dangerous snake in our path and alerted us all to it. We also did the howler monkey tour. Alex was our guide for this trip and was also very knowledgeable and was able to spot out a lot of wildlife around the river that we would not have noticed. If you go on this tour, I highly recommend wearing long sleeve shirts and pants along with plenty of bug spray. On the boat ride back from the monkey river, Alex made the time to let us manatee watch. We had delicious lunches during each of our tours that was included in the cost.

A once in a lifetime experience - We had the most amazing experience with our guide, Israel. I was a little nervous about this excursion, which was pretty ambitious for our family, but with our guide, we were in the perfect hands. He taught us so much about the country, the culture, the history, the ruins. He even called ahead to the restaurant to order our lunches since he knew it would be busy. He guided us expertly through the rainforest and the cave system, waiting patiently for us at each point of interest. If you don’t book any other adventure during your time In Belize, you MUST do this one. It was magical.

Among many guides, Robin and Jason stand out - The assistant manager at our resort connected us with Truly Wild Belize and we are so grateful. First, we had reserved a day trip to a chocolate farm and Mayan City Nim Li Punit with another company, but they needed two more people to commit to take us. For about the same price, Jason at Truly Wild offered a private tour. Robin, our guide, met us at the appointed time and place in a clean, well-maintained vehicle. Based on a three-stop package offered on their website, we asked if it would be possible to add The Spice Farm. Robin conferred with Manager Jason, who quickly agreed and made the necessary arrangements. Robin, who also serves as an evaluator and coach/trainer for other guides, was personable and professional. We learned later that adding the third stop made for an 11-hour day, but he remained cheerful and helpful throughout. It turns out Robin is also a musician who has a band with his children and forged an immediate bond with my husband, a singer-songwriter. Robin is also a historian who used our long rides between destinations to share fascinating stories of life and culture, his childhood in the mountains, the settlement of British Honduras and the establishment of modern Belize. Our day together enriched our whole trip discovering this beautiful country.

Belize tubing and waterfall - From Placencia —- We did the river tubing and waterfall. Perfect the instant our guide Israel picked us up. Provided amazing history of the area. Recommended the specific activities for us. Both spectacular. Local Belize lunch at the amazing Happy Ranch was one of the best meals on our trip. He also recommended one of his favorite Placencia restaurants which did not disappoint.

Wonderful day with Wilder from Truly Wild Belize - We highly recommend to book with Wilder from Truly Wild Belize for any daytrip in Belize.
Wilder is a local guide with an incredible knowledge about everything and he is so much fun to spend the day with. We were picked up from our resort and drove to the Xunantunich Maya historic site, On our drive Wilder gave us so much info about all we saw while driving and about Belize in general. Once at the Maya sight he was a truly knowledgeable guide, we learned so much. He took us to a local restaurant for a very nice Belizian lunch and then we continued on to the Cave tubing. Wilder was again great and the caves were absolutely stunningly amazing.
A long drive back to our resort, but it was well worth it.

Wonderful tour of Mayan Ruins & Waterfall - 10/10 recommend using Truly Wild specifically Israel! Our originally booked tour we could not go on due to flooding but Israel gave us all the options and his recommendations. We did not feel like we missed out, actually we had an AMAZING time touring the ruins, learning about the culture and history of the Mayans, eating a traditional lunch and finally stopping at the waterfall for an afternoon swim. Would use this company for every tour in the future.

Laughing Bird Caye - Took a private trip with Jamie and Shawn out for snorkeling adventure around Laughing Bird Caye, had an incredible time! Safety was first and foremost, but seen tons of new and interesting creatures. Jamie did a great job of pointing things out, and telling us stories about what we flatlanders from Nebraska were seeing! Great trip, tasty rum punch and cold beer to make the tour enjoyable.
Lunch at Ray Caye was incredible.
Highly recommend!

Fun tour with Jonathon! - We chose to go cave tubing and to the Belize zoo. Jonathon was our guide and he was amazing! He is so knowledgeable about the caves and the history of the Mayan Indians. You can tell that he truly enjoys his job and loves his country. He explained so many facts and features of the caves throughout our journey as well as facts about the animals at the zoo, who are very well taken care of. Highly recommend this tour and Jonathon!
