World War I sites - Our tour leader was Max and he was very interesting. It was a very relaxed day as we visited war sites, cemeteries and museums with United States relevance. Max made the battle fields come alive with his vast knowledge of history. I highly recommend this tour if you can have the expert knowledge of Max.

Belleau Woods Battlefield - Regis Piteux was my guide for a tour of the Belleau Woods Battlefield, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and the monuments in the area. Regis was extremely knowledgable about all facets of the battles in this World War 1 area. I spent 11 fascinating hours with Regis who also is the owner/operator of Adrian Roads tour company. This was a super tour at a great price. If you are going to Belleau Woods, go with Adrian Roads and Regis Piteux.
My goal was to visit the cemetery where my uncle was buried being a casualty of the first world war. Regis had me meet the superintendent of the cemetry and he was able to provide me with a lot of information about my uncle's action during the battle. How do you put a price on that. I even got to meet a farmer who's wife's great grandfather sold Belleau Wods to the French government. You will not be disappointed with this tour.

Excellent Tour - Nicola was an absolutely amazing guide. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us great information and history and offered suggestions for stops that we hadn’t been aware of. She also recommended a spot for lunch that was fantasic food, (my husband is still trying to find a Croque Madame he likes as much). This is a nice/quiet/peaceful tour. It has great information and museums, under appreciated areas and just an overall great day to be spent in the area. If you appreciate history, I recommend this one.

Our goal was to follow in our grandfather's footsteps, an American soldier with the U.S. 4th Division, who was wounded twice during the 2nd Battle of the Marne. This was a private centennial tour and I cannot say enough good things about our tour guide Nicola. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about the military affairs of the First World War. She provided background and explained the causes of the conflict on the drive east from Paris. We visited Belleau Wood and walked through the lines of the U.S. Marines, paid our respects at a small British cemetery and the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, grabbed a quick lunch at Chateau Thierry, and stopped at several war memorials and monuments. Nicola was well versed in the interpretations and answered all our questions. What was most important to us was to locate the positions where our grandfather fought and was wounded. Nicola was very flexible and joined our quest to go off the beaten track a bit and we were successful in finding the two areas where he was wounded. This meant so much to us. We finished the tour at the Museum of the Great War in Meaux. It was a very full and emotionally satisfying day and we have Nicola to thank. We give her our highest recommendation.

He was a great conversationalist--we loved out time with him--so much so that we have currently reached out to Viator to see if we can book another tour with him, specifically, for 2018. Although, I must say, we are not getting much assistance with this....

Highly, highly recommend! If you truly want to experience the battlefields of the War to End All Wars, a private tour is a must.

Our outstanding guide Nicolete was amazing and time was well worth it. He got the key, drank from the fountain, visited the Church, walk thru the Battlefield, and pay respect. History is beyond words, the trip itself is comfortable and the guide well knowledgeable. we got pickup at West Western Hotel and drop at the museum where we had an amazing time at the Museum of the Great War. Both my son and husband was a dream come true.. I will highly recommend it!

Belleau Wood - not to be missed - Belleau Wood was a main destination of our 2019 Champagne Battlefields Tour. Tough the present (peacetime) conditions are a far cry from the ordeal it must have been way back in 1917, a walk through Belleau Wood still gives you a good impression of the difficulties encountered by the Marines in taking the hill and the wood.
