It Is Not What YouThink, It Is More - Pridnestrovie - Spent a very memorable day with Mrs. Diana in Pridnestrovie. She is an excellent guide with a great command of English and a wonderful sense of humor. She escorted through the passport formalities and then took us through 500+ years of history during our action packed day. If you are looking to do a tour in this area and see the famed sites as well as getting a bit off the beaten path to explore, you should book this tour. Joe M. Canada

So happy I took this trip!! - I had good communication with the agency prior to the day of the tour. They picked me up on time and were very friendly. We made it to the border in an hour and explored several places in Transnistria. I was pleasantly surprised by the great sites we saw and learned a lot about its history. It was a great trip with a great meal and I would highly suggested. Make sure you bring your passport and some money to convert to their local currency. Also a tip try to get the plastic coins. They make for great souvenirs

One of life’s not to be missed experiences - Given that the whole world says do not go to Transnistria we were a little apprehensive but as we went through the Berlin Wall into Communist DDR in 1988 we decided that it would be fine. How right we were! This was the best day trip in living memory. Booking with Lilya was both courteous and efficient and our guide Marcel was a fantastic person with a great knowledge of the history and culture of this beautiful country - Moldova. As for Transnistria - for us to return to a place not ruled by the internet and the motor car was like stepping back in time to our youth. Thank goodness we didn’t listen to our Government’s Travel Advice as if we had we would have missed out on one of life’s truly memorable experiences. How else can one ever visit a country that does not exist?! “We make cognac not war” (the motto of Transnistria) is certainly one that I subscribe to.

Transnistria, an interesting day in the country that does not exist - Very interesting journey in a region still unknown to most that gives the emotion of a blast from the Soviet past. Marcelo was a competent, helpful and empathetic guide who helped us understand the history and everyday life of Transnistria.

Great day tour--could have been better with a better driver - Fascinating tour to a country that doesn't exist. We bought the lunch included option, the other couple didn't so there was confusion as to what was included in the lunch and what wasn't. Found out they joined us at the last minute so could have been avoided. Driver was soooo grouchy. Did not want to stop even though all the places we stopped were on the itinerary. Yelled at the tour guide and was aggressive with the border patrol officers which made us really uncomfortable. Would not recommend Nicolai as a driver.

Fascinating tour but delayed tour pickup and drop off - The real reason I visited Moldova was to visit Chisinau and Transinistria, and the day tour to Transinistria was fascinating. We visited Tiraspol, Binderi fortress, central market, war memorials, and various other sites we visited were interesting. I appreciated the tour leader, Nathalia, was enthusiastic and patient in answering everyone's questions. When I booked the tour, I was told that the hotel pickup would be at 8 am and as the hotel breakfast started at 8 am, I requested them to make a sandwich "to go", but then the morning of the tour, I received a message from the tour company that the tour pick up would be at 9:20 am and no explanation was given. So, I waited in the hotel lobby and there was no pick up at 9:20 am, and there was another person was also waiting at the hotel lobby for this tour. I texted the tour company why there was no pick up and the reply I received was "Are you serious?"! Finally, the tour van pick me and the other person at 9:50 am and still there was no explanation about the delay. It would have been really helpful, if the tour pick up time posted on the booking site was followed or at least an explanation was given for the delay. I was told we would be back in Chisinau around 6:30 or 7 pm but we made it back around 8 pm. Overall, the places we visited on this tour were interesting and it would have been better if the tour schedule had been followed.
