Awesome day trip from Bengaluru to Mysore Palace! - Praveen and Chetan were excellent tour guides for our journey from Bengaluru to Mysuru. The Keshava Temple in Somanathapura and Mysore Palace in Mysuru were breathtaking, and our tour guides shared many interesting facts about them. They also knew just where to be to have a private encounter with some elephants at the palace, which was one of the highlights of my trip. The silk cocoon market was an unexpected delight, and Devaraja Market was a fun, colorful, bustling location to pick up a souvenir or two. Lunch was a lot of fun, and we really appreciated Praveen and Chetan's flexibility to make some small adjustments to the tour to suit our interests. Highly recommended!

A Perfect Blend of History, Culture, and Craftsmanship - This private tour in Bengaluru was an unforgettable experience! Our guide was a fantastic storyteller, sharing deep insights and historical details that truly brought each site to life. We explored magnificent old temples, learning about their intricate architecture, spiritual significance, and the fascinating stories behind them. The visit to the silk-making process—from silkworms to the final exquisite fabric—was equally mesmerizing, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at this intricate craft. Another highlight was our visit to the grand palaces around Mysuru. Walking through their opulent halls and learning about their royal history made the experience even more special. The blend of heritage, artistry, and expert storytelling made this tour one of the best I’ve taken. If you’re looking for a deep dive into Karnataka’s rich history and culture, this tour is a must! Highly recommended!

Top Tier Tour - Driver picked me up early and did a great job taking care until we got to Mysore. Met the guide and it was a great experience learning about the area. The guide was engaging as we went to the different areas and the driver did a fantastic job bringing me back to hotel. Been on many many tours, this will stand out as one of my top 3.

Great way to see a bit of India beyond Bangalore - This was my first visit to India and I was in Bangalore for a meeting. Bangalore is not a tourist city. There is always something to look at and the traffic is a constant adventure, but it is not easy to get around and there don't seem to be many outstanding places to visit. Going to Mysore is worthwhile because it allows a visitor to see to at least a bit of India. That was important for me since there I might never have the privilege of returning. First, the downside. It is 2.5-3 hours between Bangalore and Mysore. The traffic can be slow and chaotic. I enjoyed the trip, but won't be for everyone. The upsides are many. Fez is an engaging and kind host. I was the only client that day. He could have canceled, but he and the driving devoted themselves to making my day great. Our first stop was a cocoon auction site, something that no tourist would see on their own. We then went to visit Mysore Palace and the "must see" Mysore Market. I told Fez that my wife liked coffee, so we stopped to my some at his favorite coffee vendor. Lunch was at a riverside restaurant that served the best food I had in India. We finished with a visit to Tipu's summer palace and fort. None of these sites are spectacular, but they are embedded with a trip where everything you see is interesting I learned a lot about India's current events and culture from Fez, who is a straight-shooter who will tell you exactly what he thinks. I rely on tours like this to teach me about the places/places I visit. This was one of the best. Highly recommend as long as you are OK with a long car ride on boisterous India roads. A memorable day, thank you Fez!

This is a nice tour... - This is a nice tour organized by a professional team. My wife and I enjoyed a private tour with Kiran, a local of Mysore. We enjoyed learning about the Hindu religion and Indian history while visiting multiple sites. Lots of time driving but worth every dime.

Decent experience but pricey - Good experience to explore India. We did a full itinerary in the allotted time. ## Great / Good 1. Pick me up on time from my hotel, navigated nicely the Bangalore, and in general drove nicely on rather questionable roads. 2. The tour guide was amazing. She nicely explained to us all the major attractions, life in India, and recent cultural events. She made the trip very very enjoyable. There was another guide joining us later and giving us more details, which fully documented everything important. 3. They truly went above and beyond to deliver the great service. Specifically, I had some food restrictions and they fully accommodated me. There was a guy with us with an early flight to catch and they also accommodated that. 4. The ancient temple of Somnathpur is incredible. That's the best part of that tour and as European it is the highlight of the tour. We were super lucky as there were few people. ## To improve / Bad / Be aware of 1. Price. I know that it's hard to mention that in the review, given that the price was given upfront. I realized only after taking a couple of other tours that it is ridiculous to pay $296.00 for a single day in a group tour. For context, I did a personalized full-day tour in New Delhi and that cost me 75 bucks with all the tickets and details. 2. The vehicle quality is terrible. I am not sure if that's common in India, but at least putting some covers would be nice. I recall trying to (unsuccessfully) eliminate the cockroach that was running around. 3. Traffic is pretty bad. Expect to get stuck on the way for a couple of hours. 4. Going to the market is a tourist trap. They were trying to upsell some oils. I wished, the tour guide was more transparent on how much this stuff costs and either negotiated for us before bringing us in there or let us to negotiate. In any case, they were trying to sell some incense sticks around 3-4x the price of regular supermarkets. 5. Mysuru Palace is not worth the visit if you are from Europe in my opinion. It is built by Irish (?) architect and is effectively European + Indian style, leaning more European. After seeing many palaces in Europe, suggest not wasting money. Instead, just spend them more in Somnathpur Temple which is a truly remarkable architectural piece. 6. We did not go into Srirangapatna Fort and Dariya Daulat Palace - Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace. It's possible that things were closed. In my personal opinion, consider many other options you may have. Knowing all what I know now, I would simply go to Somnathpur Temple + optionally Government Cocoon(Silk) Market and skip everything else.
