• Torre San Vicente - The Sant Vicent Tower was part of a network of 18 watchtowers along the Castellón coast. Constructed between 1597 and 1599, it bolstered the defense of the Olla de Benicàssim, which already had the Torre de Sant Julià to the northeast, as it was a vulnerable landing spot for corsairs and Barbary pirates.

The establishment of this fortress halted the town’s depopulation caused by insecurity from attacks and enabled the granting of its Town Charter in 1603. The tower, known as Sant Vicente since at least 1607, was once manned by a garrison of five men (a warden, two soldiers, and two atajadors), and was armed with firearms and an artillery piece.
