Bentota - Begin your trip at 0700 hrs from your hotel in Bentota. A designated chauffeur guide from Lakpura Travels will meet you. After completing the formalities at the hotel, you will be escorted to your air-conditioned vehicle and head to Bundala. On the way, visit Weherahena Temple and Wewrukannala Temple.

Weherahena Poorwarama Rajamaha Viharaya වෙහෙරහේන පූර්වාරාම රජමහා විහාරය. - Located in the Matara District of Sri Lanka, about 6 kilometers from Matara town, Weherahena Poorwarama Raja Maha Viharaya is known as the world’s first tunnel temple. The temple features a massive 130-ft Buddha image built in the style of the Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa eras and includes all main features of a Buddhist temple: the pagoda, a sacred bo-tree, and a Samadhi Buddha statue. The temple walls are decorated with Buddha murals. Historical records indicate that the tunnel temple paintings narrate the Jātaka tales (legends) of Ummagga Jathaka and Umandawa.

Wewurukannala Buduraja Maha Viharaya - Wewurukannala Raja Maha Viharaya is a sacred Buddhist temple located 1.5 kilometers from Dikwella towards Beliatta. The main attraction is a 160-ft tall seated Buddha statue, the largest in Sri Lanka, dating back to the late 18th Century. The temple also features a section called the Tunnel of Hell, with life-sized models of devils, demons, and sinners experiencing the torments of hell. The temple walls depict the path to enlightenment through hundreds of comic strip representations of events in the Buddha’s life.

Bundala National Park - Continue to Bundala for a delightful jeep safari in Bundala National Park.

Visit Bundala National Park, the first declared Ramsar wetland site in Sri Lanka. Observe the large flocks of greater flamingoes that visit Bundala and see many other species of migratory waterbirds that winter here. Explore the park’s seven terrestrial habitat types and six wetland types and learn more about them.

Yala - After the safari, proceed to Yala and check into the hotel.

Yala National Park - Early in the morning, head to Yala National Park for a wonderful jeep safari.
