Hidden gem - Tomi our local, guide was enthusiastic and thorough in her local knowledge . She brought us to a bamboo “factory” which was the highlight of the 3 hour tour . It made us realise that this age old craft is dying and more should be done to save it . I would suggest that tour operators such as Viator should encourage your local partners to incorporate “vanishing crafts” in the tour itinerary thus helping the tradition trade to continue .
