I’d like to expose people to the frantic ants of the underground and wow people with the elaborate artworks that pours out of my city.We also have the battle rap scene and the underground Cyphers which is sure to ignite a spark in any music lovers’ heart. At a club, somebody might just light mphephu ( traditional herbs) in a poetic or artistic fashion or start bongo drumming until your inner demons leave you. Either way its totally spontaneous. Embark on a nightlife adventure exploring Durban’s most captivating and stimulating locales. Witness the city’s creative side as you revel in its nightlife, seen from a local’s perspective. Our journey includes visiting three different bars/clubs in the city. Each location offers a 30-minute stay, during which we indulge in a drink. On Thursday nights, we attend the drum circle. Performances or events change daily, ensuring every experience stands apart. It’s worth noting that during weekdays clubs tend to be less bustling, with Thursday through to Saturday being the optimal days. Our journey begins with the first venue at 8:10pm where we enjoy a drink for 30 minutes and depart at 8:40pm. Our next destination is expected at 8:45pm where we savour a single drink for half an hour, then depart for our final stop at 9:15pm. We estimate arrival at the final location at 9:35pm, where we share our farewells at 10:05pm before parting ways.
