• La Citta Alta - Bergamo is the split-into-two town: Bergamo Alta (
  the high Bergamo) and Bergamo Bassa (the low town), joined by the historic cable car.

Within the heart of the beautiful Bergamo Alta, we selected the best preparations, capable of presenting in one dish the food culture of the area of Bergamo: from the farmers’ traditional meals, to the richly presented meats, to the gelato ‘stracciatella’, which was first created in Bergamo indeed.

Escorted by our local Foodie, you will discover a secret itinerary enclosed within the walls of the Citt Alta, created following strong flavours and delicate scents, starting from the origins of the Lombard tradition and taking us to the contemporary Bergamo food scene that we know today.

The ‘Do Eat Better Experience’ culinary tour includes a guided stroll of at least 4 stops throughout the historic center of Bergamo Alta. Participants are led by a ‘Foodie’, a local pal who elucidates all aspects of the chosen eateries, their dishes, and the interesting history/facts tied to them.
