Last-minute booking, very successful. - We were originally booked by a different operator on a large boat out of the main Bergen harbor, but they had a fire on board and canceled us the evening before. I went to Tripadviser when the hotel couldn't help us book anything, and went with the full private excursion. I received a call later directly from Bjorn saying that the full day wasn't possible because the lunch arrangements couldn't be managed, but we would be able to have the half-day excursion and would be refunded the difference. As mentioned in other reviews, the pickup and 1 hour travel worked well, the drop off with the walk to the train was fine, but the train back to Bergen was delayed by an hour due to mechanical issues, obviously not an expected occurrence. Warning - no available bathroom facilities at the train station! The tour itself was the experience we wanted, beautiful views and tons of photos taken by Bjorn of us. As mentioned elsewhere, you should be aware that Bjorn is truly a guide, not just a captain. I will remember many of the stories told on this trip, fortunately my wife and I are not easily offended and we shared many laughs. The overall review is that if you want an adventure and many stories to tell, the Zodiac is the way to go. We were lucky to be able to go given the last-minute booking, but the efforts made on our behalf were appreciated.

Beautiful Way to See the Fjords - This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Norway! Bjorn was incredibly knowledgeable, and he shared tons of fascinating stories about the history and culture of the region, which added so much to our journey. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and the mirror-like surface of the fjords creating a scene that felt like something out of a fairy tale. But what really set this tour apart was the smaller boat we were on, which allowed us to access areas that larger vessels simply can't. This flexibility meant we could experience hidden gems and beautiful spots that felt untouched by the crowds. This tour exceeded all my expectations, and I would definitely recommend it!

An Essential Element of Your Trip to Norway - A personal tour of the fjords near Bergen is an essential experience of the uniquely beautiful waterscapes of western Norway. After suiting up in warm, waterproof, battery-powered coveralls, Bjorn pilots you through an area not accessible to bigger boats, sharing his personal perspective on a place like no other. Highly recommended.

Quiet solitude and beauty! - The serenity and solitude of being in places that are often the best path and barely touched by human actions was beyond description. I highly recommend this personal tour as a way to really understand the people and places in and about the less traveled fjords of Norway.

Best excursion ever! - We had an unforgettable day on this excursion! Tor picked us up from our hotel and provided a fascinating guide on our way to the boat. Once there, we were greeted by Bjorn, our guide for the day. The fjords were absolutely awe-inspiring, and Bjorn’s colorful personality and enthusiasm made the experience even better. We stopped for a delicious lunch as we continued to explore the stunning landscape. This was hands down the best excursion we’ve ever been on—highly recommend!

Best way to see fjords - Yesterday we took this tour with Bjorn. It was my husband and daughter and we wanted to see the fjords up close and hear about the history and culture of Norway first hand. Bjorn did all that and more. He is energetic, funny and knowledgeable and this tour has been the highlight of our trip so far (2 weeks into our travels.). The price tag is higher than other fjord cruises, but well worth it. He gives good instructions on meeting place, train ride etc.

Stunning & Lovely -- Our Favorite Afternoon of the Trip - Me and my two friends traveled to Norway as the last stop on a European trip, and this was BY far the best thing we did!! We love, love, loved Bjorn and were really blown away by the places he took us. The fjords were stunning & Bjorn was super conversational and fun, with lots of stories and history (both past & present) that made the afternoon memorable. We'd been to a few different places throughout our trip & had done plenty of activities, but this was hands down our favorite. Best afternoon that we'll be chatting about with friends for months to come!

Cold and Rainy but Good private Fjord tour - Other than the very cold rain the day with Bjorn was a good one. It was nice to be in a Fjord without a dozen other tour boats and hear from someone who grew up in the Fjords. Only downside was his take on global warming,,,scientists being paid to say there is global warming.????Other than that the Fjord was beautiful and the history was amazing to hear about.

Definitely unique… not all in a good way - Ahhhh where do I begin with this review. Let’s start with the good. This tour is an amazing, private experience with absolutely stunning sights and views of the fjords. That experience, on its own is 5 stars. But. You will likely also experience the man, the myth, the legend (if only in his own mind) Bjorn. He’s great, as he will be sure to let you know. You’re probably not, which he will also be sure to let you know. Did you book the share and save option (the only option available due to the size of your group)? You’re poor. He’ll tell you. Did you wear a souvenir hat or shirt you’ve picked up on your trip? Souvenirs are stupid. He’ll tell you. What he won’t tell you is… anything, actually, about how to meet up and what to expect for the actual excursion beforehand. There was no reminder email or communication before our scheduled cruise. To be fair I booked through TripAdvisor and not directly, so perhaps there is a glitch, but I had to reach out the night before our cruise because we hadn’t received any information about the meeting point or time. There was then a confusing exchange about where to meet, as our group did not realize (I don’t think it’s made clear by the TripAdvisor description) that we would be picked up and driven approximately an hour from Bergen to begin the cruise, then dropped off at a train station at the end of the cruise to take a train back to Bergen. So driving yourself to the starting point is not an option, FYI. Fjord experience - 5 stars. Bjorn experience - 1 star. Combo score - 3 stars. *Preemptively anticipating a response blaming/criticizing/mocking my group instead of taking the feedback but we shall see.
