Red sail and captured wind - Despite a morning drizel, the skies cleared and we were able to sail on a fjord on this small, but authentic, Viking ship. It was a terrific experience as the square red sail was raised and the ship caught the wind. Highly recommend doing this!!

The Bergen Viking Longboat Trip - This was a great sailing experience The ship is an exact replica of a medieval fishing vessel based on the traditional Viking longboat I thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who visits Bergen.

Highlight of our Bergen visit! - It rained on us all weekend in Bergen EXCEPT for the 90 minutes we were on the Viking sail and the clouds parted. (That was an impressive trick, still trying to figure out how they did it!?) My 14yo son was living his best life, raising the sail and catching 2 mackerel while I enjoyed a Nordlands Pils. Guides were super friendly and fun. Good times!

Longship - A wonderful experience which is a little different. We enjoyed seeing the sail being hoisted and letting the wind take us out, hearing the water lap against the boat. Our guide was helpful and interesting.

A unique Viking experience - We enjoyed our time on this true Viking replica boat. As a sailor, it was interesting to see the way Viking boats sailed. We enjoyed fishing (and caught several mackerels) If you want, you can also get involved on the hoisting of the sails accompanied by Viking songs. It was 90 minutes, which is the right amount of time.

A great way to see Bergen from the water! - Great experience. Nice way to see Bergen from the water. We were able to hoist the sail and go fishing. They provided tea, beer and some smoke mackerel. Zach was very knowledgeable.

Viking - I mean, who wouldn't want to go sailing on an antique Viking ship? They even have tea on the ship and fishing equipments that you can catch mackerels.

Highlight of Bergen - A wonderful experience to see the harbour and a bit of the fjords. It was so much fun to be on such a beautiful ship, and people were given the chance to help out on the boat and catch fish. Zach was so friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about ships and Bergen. If you are considering this, I would definitely go for it!!

drenched wet - While the idea of sailing on a replica viking boat is really nice, the organizer should, in my opinion, provide some kind of rain cover. we did not see much because we were caught in a storm in the middle of the harbour. We got drenched,
