This walking tour begins at the “Square of 9th November 1989,” a site of historical significance. It was here that the Berlin Wall, which had divided the city for 28 years, finally came down.
Participants will trace the path of the former wall along the old death strip, discovering numerous remnants of the wall. Some of these are known only to locals, but they are also documented by the city. The tour stretches from the former border station at Bornholmer Strasse to the once-abandoned Nordbahnhof train station.
During the tour, there will be stops at many of the most famous sites along the former wall, with a break included.
