DDR Museum - A must if you are in Berlin. Gives a great insight into the DDR and livvng conditions in east Germany at the time. And so much information on the individuals that ran the country. Sprinkled with a few classic cars as you can from the photos.great time there and very informative.

Interesting but come off peak if possible - Unusual and interesting museum. Booking online the day before helped avoid a lengthy entrance queue. A very small space with a lot of people, combined with a lot of drawers/flaps to open make for an awkward experience. It was also pretty hot even in April. The generally very tolerant / engaged teens had had enough after about an hour. Of course there was a lot about real oppression, but much of the display seemed typical 70s, and the evidence of the powerful hand of soviet communism’ in the use of green shield stamps (as we called them in the UK when I was growing up) or a shared nap time for nursery children, seemed to say more about the ideology of the curators than of the DDR. Still overall, we’ll worth a visit for a stimulating and thorough perspective on historical DDR life. Very useful now that the differences between the two halves of the city that were so obvious when I first visited in 1990 are much less clear.

Interesting, but nothing fancy - Interesting museum for history and makes you realize how the people of the East lived until not too many years ago. Nothing wow, little interactive, a bit boring.

I'll Pass A Return Visit. - Not really that much to see & do. Displays were mediocre and too close together. Difficult to see all the exhibits with the amount of visitors attending the museum.

Hot and crowded - Warm and crowded, but it was a pleasant experience that I would not want to be without. Fairly affordable, there is certainly more fun museum in Berlin!

Nice but way too busy - Really way too busy making it really less fun. Rather work with a time slot because now it is not a nice experience unfortunately

Interesting and Interactive, but Very Crowded - On our visit to the DDR Museum, we found it to be a fascinating place full of history, interactive exhibits, and some really cool photos. It offers a unique glimpse into life in East Germany, and there’s plenty to see and learn. However, the space is quite small, and it was extremely busy during our visit, which made it difficult to move around. With lots of people and children running around, it felt a bit overwhelming at times. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit—just try to go during quieter hours if you can.

Lots of info, lots to learn. We especially liked the DDR wohnung. - It was to crouded to take the time to really look at things. It was hard to find the story line (maybe there is none?) What we did enjoy was the many many informations that were presented in a very interactive way so our kids enjoyed learning. Also the living space of the DDR familly was a great experience.

Disappointing, hot and crowded - It calls itself an interactive museum. The extent of this ends up being that there are displays where you can touch to change language and has hundreds of drawers and cupboards. Information is in long-winded paragraphs which take ages to read. It was very very crowded and way too warm. The main good thing is the car sim and even that had a long queue. Definitely wouldnt recommend, not worth it.
