Join us on a two-hour foot journey to the African Quarter in the north of Berlin! The African Quarter is a monumental district composed of 22 streets. The most noteworthy aspect of this area is that the streets are named after African nations, European cities, and former colonial administrators from the colonial era. So, what sort of connection did Germany have with the African countries, and what part did the colonies’ administrators play back then? During our tour, we will address all of these queries and much more. We will delve into the 20th-century colonial era, an intriguing part of German-African history that is seldom touched upon.
