Berlin's History Hidden in Plain Sight - As we had previously been to Berlin, we were looking for something a bit different and Martin provided us with a real jewel of a tour. We enjoyed an amazing and entertaining tour of some of Berlin's lesser known, but truly interesting historical sites. Martin was happy to curate a tour that addressed our specific request to visit a cemetery, as well being so knowledgeable to modify the tour on the fly when we were running up against a time deadline. Martin clearly loves Berlin and loves showing it off. We cannot recommend Martin enough and assure all that you will not be disappointed.

Discovering passages, nooks and neighborhoods we would of overlooked - With Miha, we explored an array of passages, nooks, and neighborhoods that we would have walked by and never known that they were there or known to visit. Miha gave us insight into the communities we visited and what living in this dynamic city is like.

Tour name says it all---off the beaten path - Do this tour if you want to see a vibrant colorful neighborhood full of graffiti filled courtyards or the section of the Berlin Wall covered in healing art or hear stories you won't hear on your WWII and Cold War tours. My guide Pablo was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing Berlin with me.

Fabulous afternoon tour - We booked an ‘off the beaten track tour’ with Seth. It was a great afternoon taking in many areas which you just wouldn’t see ordinarily, along with some more mainstream ones. Seth was a great guide, highly recommended and very knowledgeable about Berlin and its culture. He tailored the tour as we went so we spent some time exploring the fabulous street art, an afternoon rave and the East Side Gallery. Being on a private tour is a far better experience than joining a large group and you learn so much more about the city and the people that you are visiting.

Hipster Berlin!! - Loved the Jewish quarter courtyards-beautiful tiled buildings in one and garden oasis in the other, enjoyed the atmosphere and all the art at Dead Cat Alley especially Little Lucy and also visit to Otto Weidt museum who was blind and employed blind people including Jews during WWII, passing by former hospital that is now an installation art gallery, and of course seeing the Kiss mural at East Side Gallery. Ended in a hipster neighborhood nearby and sampled some yum hand pulled noodles. Thank you Betty for taking us around.

Martin, our guide: natural & charming, as if we were out with a friend - Our withlocals guide "Martin" was great! He introduced us to the heart of Kreuzberg: a stop at street art "Nature Morte" from Roa (Belgium!) ; at the Axel Springerhaus the sculpture: "The Grenzgänger" by artist Stephan Balkenhol; Rhüdesheimer Platz, a place to come back in the summer and taste delicious German wines (sous les platanes.) Further introduced to the sugar mecca: House of Sweets Berlin) and the more refined "Lindner Esskultur". (Les goouts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas) and a small detour via the VOOstore and The Orania Hotel. Martin is a very charming man, trilingual (!), a man of the world who also knows the finer points of life. Very natural, as if we were out with a friend. He was the icing on Inge's birthday cake (we booked this walk for her sixtieth birthday).

Disappointed - Our guide was a nice guy but not a true local. He was an American grad student who had limited knowledge of the area. We could have done this on our own.
