The most valuable antlers are from Russia, said to have been brought as a gift from the Russian Tsar Peter I. An interesting feature is the feather room, called the Federzimmer. The entire bed is covered with nearly two million bird feathers of various colours. You will also be fascinated by the furniture, paintings and leather wallpaper with drawings. The castle is home to one of the oldest active stud farms in Germany. Racehorses have been bred here since 1828.
