Get ready for a delightful, German-spoken journey (about 75 minutes) within the bureaucratic center. Listen to intriguing tales about Berlin’s political past and present. A skilled guide will reveal unexpected locations around the Reichstag and the Chancellor’s office. The majestic structures of the German Bundestag dominate the scenery along the Spree. The Parliament District has a lot to uncover. Throughout your route to the Reichstag building, you’ll find perfect spots for photo-shots.
Some fantastic places you’ll see on your tour are the ARD capital studio, parliamentary building, Reichstag’s former presidential palace, monument commemorating those who perished at the Wall, the Berlin Wall itself, federal press meeting, art installations in space, and the Federal Chancellery. Enjoy a fun-filled journey and take a mini trip back in time.
If you wish to tour the Reichstag afterward, you’ll receive details and registration guidelines via email. However, the Reichstag admission is not included on our journey. Entry and access are limited to those possessing an invitation from the Bundestag or the restaurant.
- Please note:
-
- if you would like to visit the Reichstag building, the Visitor Service from the Bundestag requires the surnames, first names and dates of birth of all participants for registration, as these are used for ID and security checks. You will transmit this data yourself online and will then receive an invitation to visit the Bundestag. We will send you instructions for registration by e-mail. Please do not send us any data.
- Notes for foreign participants: The guided tour through the government district and the explanation in the plenary hall of the Bundestag are ONLY in German. Translations within the group are NOT possible.
- For guests looking for a tour of the Reichstag in other languages (English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and more), we offer private tours upon request.
- All offers from the German Bundestag are of course free of charge, since the parliament and the visitor service are financed from tax money (that is why you have already indirectly paid for the visit long ago). A ticket for a guided tour of the government district does not include a visit to the Bundestag.
- Info about our meeting point: our tour through the government district starts in front of the Futurium (House of Futures) and not in front of the Reichstag (please note that)
- Please note that this is a tour and presentation in German, which will not be translated and requires very good knowledge of German.
- Some options for visiting the Reichstag building, each followed by a visit to the Reichstag dome: 1) Attending a plenary session, 2) Lectures in the visitors’ gallery of the plenary hall (we recommend this option), 3) Guided tours of the Reichstag building, 4) Visiting the Käfer roof garden restaurant. For an individual visit to the dome and the roof terrace on the Reichstag, please plan 20 to 45 minutes (time for the tour and photos without time limit). If you take part in our tour and then visit the Reichstag, please allow around 2.5 to 3.5 hours for the entire program.
- Admission to the Reichstag is not part of the tour. Prior registration is required for this. Without registration, the parliament building, the plenary hall and the dome cannot be visited. Admission to the Reichstag is only possible with an invitation from the Bundestag or the Käfer roof garden restaurant. The ticket for the guided tour of the government district is not an admission ticket for a visit to the Reichstag. The visit to the Reichstag can only be confirmed by the Bundestag or the restaurant.
