Energetic - Betty was a great companion for our tour— she was both knowledgeable but also gave real world context for a lot of the history we were learning about. In many ways, her own life experience informed a lot of our tour — in a good way. The four hours flew by and we covered a lot of ground. I highly recommend Betty.

A day with Seth - Seth was punctual, kind, engaging and showed us many corners of Berlin that we never would have seen on our own. He answered all of our questions and told us plenty of stories about the places we were seeing as well as the historic perspective on the city. A great day! Thank you!

Fab Tour with Sara - Sara, is such a lovely guide. Gave us lots of background information about Berlin and Germany. We had seen some of the main attractions so she gave us additional information on them. She changed the tour and got to see lots of off the beaten track areas and interesting information. Our teenage kids throughly enjoyed the tour. Would recommend Sara to people to get an understanding of Berlin and German history.

Wonderful tour and guide - I lived in Berlin for one year in the early 90's. I've been coming back on a regular basis for 12 years now, to meet my friends and breath Berlin's air and vibes. I booked a tour with Sara for me and my 3 quite grown up daughters, who love Berlin and are interested in history and like to learn new stuff. Sara is a wonderful guide. She explained us in a very easy going way and very pedagogically how Berlin turned into the important and very special city she now is. She told us many vivid things about WWII, the raise of Nazism, how Germany became Germany. She took us to places random tourists never go to. Sara is a professional but in no way a "boring teacher". She brought up a critical view on the German history. Furthermore she's a very nice person. And she suggested us a wonderful restaurant she particularly likes for our lunch. We absolutely recommend Sara as guide and thank her very much.

Totally recommend this tour! - Extremely worthwhile Berlin experience. Seth is an outstanding guide who brought the history of Berlin during the wars into clear focus. The 4 hours went quickly as we explored Berlin’s many known and less known places of historical relevance. Seth throughout the tour explained the significance of places with thorough knowledge and welcomed all questions. So pleased we did this tour.

Excellent Berlin city tour with private guide - Seth was fantastic from our first contact, personalising a half day tour to include all the things we wanted to see, and making other suggestions we perhaps wouldn’t have thought of. His knowledge of the city and planning meant we were able to see everything we wanted to during the tour. Seth was personable, knowledgable, and respectful of our time at the landmarks/monuments we visited. His broad knowledge of Berlin history gave us insights into the city that we wouldn’t have gotten had we just visited these places ourselves. He was also more than willing to answer questions, give recommendations, and take photos. Thank you Seth for a wonderful tour.

Brilliant tour with personal memories - We had a lovely time with Claudia. She adjusted the tour to our requirements (injured back, not too much walking) and made it very relaxed but still full of sights and interesting stories. As a local, teacher and traveller she has a lot of personal stories to share about the history of Berlin and the GDR. I really enjoyed her sense of humour and her easy-going way of connecting with us, as if we've been friends. I would recommend to anyone to book a tour with Claudia as I think she can create a great experience based on individual interests. Thank you Claudia!

Amazing - highly recommend - We were fortunate to get connected with Michelle and she was amazing. It’s worth every penny to do the private tour as you really go at your own pace, delve deeper into interesting topics etc. Michelle was energetic, engaging and wicked intelligent about everything historically. She engaged in deep discussions in the meaning of the events and the people of Berlin. Highly recommend.

Super entertaining tour - We had a really entertaining walk with Betty. We had only 2.5 hours and she managed to show us a lot. She was funny, had great energy. Would have liked a few more details in some places (my daughter and I are history buffs!) but we got a lot of information which we would not have otherwise known. She was also very helpful about what else we should do and see in the city and responsive to all our questions. Definitely recommend.

Loved it ! - Our family recently spent half a day with Boyd on a historical tour of Berlin and had the most wonderful and fantastic time. Boyd was simply a veritable fountain of knowledge on all things Berlin be it the city’s history, buildings, culture, things to do, etc. Boyd isn’t a guide that simply points out what building you are seeing on “your left”, rather he skillfully weaves a narrative throughout the tour that puts what you are seeing into a historical context which leaves visitors to Berlin with an understanding and appreciation of the complex history of Berlin and he ties it all to the Berlin we see and experience today. Being history geeks, we peppered Boyd with questions, and he expertly, carefully, and patiently answered every single one. Our group included a couple of teenagers and Boyd easily managed to keep their interest also. We would not hesitate to book another tour with Boyd and would highly recommend anyone visiting Berlin to do so.
