Excellent tour from as local’s viewpoint - Yvonne is extremely personable and her tour was very insightful. She took us to all the classic sites but also off the beaten track to places that we would never have seen otherwise. Very interesting and highly recommended

A great tour - We had a wonderful tour of Bern with James. He was quite knowledgeable and it was like exploring the city with a new friend. Before meeting, I told him I was interested in exploring there history of the Mennonites in Bern and he did some research and showed us pertinent places. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to learn about my families history in this beautiful city.

Tour with an American local - Yvonne was a great guide to the city! She's an American expat whose been living in Switzerland for decades. Both her husband and son work for the government in Bern, and the city has such a small town feel that we actually ran into her neighbors on the street. It was a nice surprise that our local was American. 0 language or accent barrier, plus a great understanding of what really makes Bern unique. My wife and I took this tour one hour after arriving in the city by train, and we immediately fell in love with it. Best stop of our whole tour across five countries! Yvonne shared a great deal of the history of many of the buildings, and lots of insight into the local culture. She also had great dining recommendations. As a travel tip: we arrived late Saturday afternoon and just missed the street market (which I think is multiple days a week) and most places are closed on Sunday (our one full day there). There was still plenty to see and plenty of places open Sunday, but just a heads-up.

Our Bern Experience - My husband and I had a great experience in Bern. Not only because the city is a beautiful place, but also because we had an amazing tour guide who, through his knowledge and friendly personality, enhanced the experience. Thank you Ruben!

Great time! - My 2 hour walking tour with Graham last week was great! It was the first time I had been out of the States since Covid and I was worried I might not venture out of the hotel so much. Meeting Graham changed my whole attitude and by the end of the tour I felt so comfortable and confident that for the rest of my time in Bern I barely came back to the hotel at all except to sleep! Graham showed me how to get the free tram pass from the hotel and we went all over the place. I especially liked the multi-generational house (Berner Generatiionenhaus) which always has something going on (art, Zumba, etc). I was blown away by the resources available there. It’s like if I took my local community center, coffee shop, library, preschool, nursing home and combined those and then added in social service and art programs on top of that. It’s all in one place! And it was FULL of people. I was, to be honest, quite jealous! Anyway, Graham is absolutely awesome and took me all over town and helped me feel right at home. It was like having a family friend show you around. You can ask him anything and he’ll do his best to answer. Graham, if you see this, thank you for your kindness!

Great Experience - James was very knowledgeable of Bern and its historic details. He provided us a great highlight tour and of Swiss/Bern history.

Our tour of Bern - Severine was lovely. She made our tour unique based on our interests. She suggested restaurants and shops and shared local cultural history. She also told us about present day Bern and what it is like to live there. It was a well rounded tour with a fantastic guide.

Tour of Byrne with a local!!! - A young Swiss woman named Severine met us for the tour. She had worked in Bern for over 10 years, and lived there for the last five. Severine was the same age as my oldest son, so all of my boys related to her.. we Spent nearly 3 hours walking around town taking all the sites and listening to personal experiences separate had as well as local history & current culture. Severine is a sweetheart. Although our tour should’ve ended after two hours, she stayed with us and took us to a local shop after we expressed interest in purchasing something. Severine was a bit quiet, but very informative. The whole family felt comfortable with her, and we enjoyed the tour very much.
