An amazing experience - with the profesional guide and service. - A trip organized by Simina Cernat our guide from România with a very good collaboration with Nepal Social Trecks. This was an experience of a lifetime rafting mountains nature people… We are grateful we had Lakpa to guide us throughout the trecking. Lakpa carefully addressed all our questions and help us understand Nepali culture he was the best guide friendly, kind, patient and felt very taken care of during our 9days trek on the Annapurna Circuit. At 5000m i had a difficult moment, could hardly walk but Lakpa immediately observed that and he helped me succesfully reach to Thorong La pass. Also the two porters Nima and Manut were very nice and helpful. The trip itself was well thought through for our needs and expectations. Thank you Lakpa and high-level recommended.

One of the best experiences I’ve had. Santa is caring, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. - Santa has extensive knowledge of the Annapurna area, local culture and best trekking routes. I learned so much about local customs, religion and the history of the local area whilst taking in some of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen. Santa was extremely considerate, always walking at the pace of our slowest member and taking every possible step to look after our safety. He made sure that we were always happy with the route and we were able to modify it as we wished. Santa is always happy to be there and his enthusiasm for the trek spread amongst the group. Nepal treks were flexible with our overall itinerary and it was extremely easy to organise. Our accommodations in Kathmandu and Pokhara were lovely. They responded quickly to our questions before and during the trip. Overall, it was great value for money- I couldn’t have organised a better trip.

Great guide and porter service for Annapurna Circuit - We went for a 14-day trek around Annapurna Circuit and Tilicho Lake with a guide and porter. Our guide Himesh was very experienced and always found the right accomodation for us and provided great communication with the locals. Our porter Bhim always took good care of our baggage and also set a good pace for our speedy trekking pace. Both of them kept our spirits high even though the weather was very rainy for mid-september.

Madan - Private Guide - We used Nepal social treks to hire a private guide for Annapurna circuit with Tilicho lake. We were teamed with Madan Ghale. This will be review of him , i will post separate review for Nepal social treks as we used them also for safari. For us this was first time in our life to hire a guide but our experience was very good. Madan knew whole route very well . He always picked one of the better teahouses for night and regularly checked if we feel ok. Also he ordered food for us and arranged all the small things but sometimes to the point that we felt uncomfortable, but this was probably us as we are not really used to have a guide and we usually arrange things by ourselves. He was especially helpful when we were crossing Thorong La pass as my wife suffered from mild altitude sickness and he helped to carry portion of her backpack although this was not his responsibility, and got her quickly to lower altitudes and second time when my wife dislocated her ankle and he arranged emergency taxi to nearest village. Also as a person he was very friendly and trustworthy and he got on with locals very well and we had a lot of fun together. One thing that Madan could improve is his English. It is good enough if you are looking for trekking guide, explaining route and naming surrounding mountains and explaining their significance in Nepalese culture but if you indulge in lengthy conversations in English, Madan might not be right person for you. We would hire him again if we will go for Everest base camp trek.

Annapurna Circuit - The full circuit with lots of side trips. 20+ days on the trail - Prems Trekking is great. We wanted to create our own trek itinerary for the Annapurna Circuit. After contacting other companies in Nepal, we decided to use Prem. He assisted putting together a 25 day itinerary, assigning a guide and 2 porters, arranging travel from Kathmandu to the start, and from the trek end to Pokhara. It took several iterations discussing route variations and the type of gear to bring. Prem always responded promptly to our questions and provided guidance when we needed experienced input to take the new route away from the jeep route. Our route took us through many of the villages you read about on the older route, but avoiding the dust and noise of the jeep trail. Plus visiting many off-the-beaten-track villages. There were times I looked across the valley and could make out the jeep road and wondered why I saw trekkers on the same road as the jeeps. Our route was so much quieter and enjoyable. We saw all the traditional high lights of the trek: Manang, Thorung La, Muktinath, Kagbeni, Poon Hill, etc. But our trek also included side trips: Ngwal, Kang La, Ice Lake, Tilicho Lake, Jhong, Dhaganjung, Thini, etc. Our guide, Asal, was very familiar with the NATT and with his input we changed our itinerary a couple of times in route. After our trek, in Pokhara, Prem dropped by and spent the evening with us just talking about the Annapurna region. A perfect end to our trek. Wonderful experience in Nepal - I did Annapurna Circuit with 9 friends in April 2019 and it was amazing. The landscapes are breathtaking, the weather was perfect and our guide Kamal Pandey and the two porters Rames and Barta were always ready to help us with everything we need. I would like to thank all of them on this way. I send you a big hug from Romania and all my friendship. I can not wait to meet us again. For sure I will come back in Nepal and I want Kamal to be my guide again. Thank you Nepal for everything! Florina
