Palestine is a beautiful country - Without the settlers and the army, things would have been so much better! Thank you to the Palestinians for their welcome, their kindness and the help provided when I needed it.

See the Other Side - I had the privilege of being on the first tour since the war in Gaza started back in October. I recommend this tour because you will see and learn things many normal tours won't tell you about when you go to Bethlehem. Unfortunately, we didn't get to walk around too much because of bad rain. But I highly recommend this tour and Daniel is a great guide, he even gave me a great souvenir of olive oil soap made in Palestine.

We couldn't have asked... - We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide than Dani to explore and get to know Bethlehem with all its stories, cultural dynamics, and political conflicts. From initial communication to dropping us off at the end of the tour, everything was fantastic, with Dani being such an accommodating and knowledgeable person who patiently answered all of our hundreds of questions. We highly recommend Dani for any trip to Palestine. Thanks Dani, we had an unforgettable experience!

Knowledgeable and Welcoming Guide: A Perfect Tour Experience - Thanks Dani! - Dani is an extraordinary guide: he is very competent but also very attentive to his audience. I arrived at the House of Peace (which his mother runs) and was immediately greeted with tea, feeling very comfortable having a chat before the tour. During the day and the different stops, Dani provided a lot of information and insights on the geopolitical situation of Bethlehem, referring to history, recommending books to read and films to watch and answering all questions. I will definitely come back to do another tour when I'm here again. Dani also offers lunch options (not included in the tour) and I have to say that the chicken rice we had was delicious. Thanks Dani! Dani is an amazing guide - he is very knowledgable but also very aware of his audience. I arrived at House of Peace (that his mom manages) and was immediately greeted with tea and felt very comfortable sitting and having a chat before the tour. Throughout the day and the different stops Dani gave a lot of background and insights about the geopolitical situation of Bethlehem, he referred back to the history, have me tips on books to read and films to watch and answered all questions. I will definitely be going back to take another tout when I'm next here. Thank you Dani!

If you are serious about discovering Palestine - THIS IS IT - This is not your typical touristy tour that you will book with any other company operating in Israel and the West Bank. Dani is going to show you the realities on the ground in a deeply educational, emotional, and thought provoking way. He went above and beyond in every way to immerse me into the daily life of Palestinians in Bethlehem. I have traveled around the world but this experience was unique in every way. This is highly recommended for people with serious interest in the geopolitical history and current situation in Palestine. It will open your eyes and leave you thinking, learning, and processing for many days to come.

Dani’s Tours are Excellent! - I took two tours with Dani, to Nablus and Hebron, and I absolutely loved them. Dani is an excellent tour guide and gives detailed information about the culture, history and religion of the people. He is knowledgeable, honest, respectful and has a good sense of humour. I highly recommend taking a tour with Dani Alternative Tours.

A most meaningful day, highly recommend! - My wife, daughter and I met Dani on a day it was cold and raining. We visited the walled off hotel and musuem, Migrant area, the Dead Sea, Jericho! An Amazing day! Thank you Dani!! Dani encouraged us asking difficult questions on the most challenging of subjects. A side note. If you are staying in Jerusalem, allow 1.5 hours to walk to the bus stop outside the Damascus gate and take the bus to Bethlehem. It sets the mood and is safe. You do go through a checkpoint going back which is why you Just can’t grab a taxi. Very interesting.

Eye opening and thought provoking - The tour, which includes walking through of a refugee camp, helped illuminate the lives of Palestinians in at least one of the occupied territories. The highlight of the trip was meeting (unplanned) a recently released prisoner, in his late teens, who was hanging out with his friends. Having traveled in Israel extensively, it was useful to get the Palestinian perspective on the current and historical tensions facing the country. We also enjoyed the parts of the tour related to artist Banksy. Our tour guide was also excellent and well-connected to the Bethlehem community. I'd highly recommend for anyone wanting to get a better understanding of this very complex area of the world.
