Big bus celebrity houses tour - Rodney is as great very informative and took great care of us. Very knowledgable of the area and went out of his way to show our daughter Halloween houses

Tour - The tour was very fun. My friends and I enjoyed it so much. Honestly Rodney made it so much better and he was very funny. I would recommend coming.

Patience required - Good tour. Great narrative. Need the buses to run more frequently. Each time you hop off be prepared to wait an hour. The saddest thing I saw was the blue bus leave as the red bus pulled up rather than wait for those people who wanted to transfer over for the Santa Monica tour. Shame.

Not very convenient; may be ok, if you are not going to hop off. - Big distances and rare buses make it necessary to carefully plan the trip. In one day it is realistically possible to see only a few objects. Some stops are not indicated. Mobile application is helpful, but at least in one case the app shows the route wrong: stop #9 is moved, both the app and brochure still show the old address.

Possible activity, but there are better alternatives (Uber...) - After the tour in San Francisco with the same organizer (BigBus), which was really top, this tour in Los Angeles was not so good. The buses were often delayed (we therefore missed the Celebrity tour), the route was clear (but not spectacular) and with long waiting times in traffic. There are two round trips (red Hollywood and blue towards Santa Monica) with a common stop. From Los Angeles, you can only see Hollywood (and Santa Monica in the blue route), not Los Angeles Downtown We had purchased the two-day ticket, but then used more and more Uber taxis to get from A to B stress-free and on time (and cheap!)...

'Hop off' at your peril - We've used this service in loads of other cities around the world. I assumed this would be good too so I wish I'd read the reviews before booking - although the reviews of this service seemed to be mixed up with other much better tours provided by the company. You really can't ' hop on hop off' these buses unless you like waiting around for ages for the next 'hop on' - buses are at least 45 minutes apart and sometimes delayed. They need more buses running on the 2 loops - there were just 2 running on the beach loop on the day we used it. The distances in LA are vast so, if you do the beach loop, you really don't want to risk missing the bus and getting stranded. Add to this - the stops are not clearly marked and the tour guide is pre-recorded and is often out of sync with what you are looking at. The only plus - the free tour of the Chinese theatre which was very good.

Total waste of time. - If I could give zero I would. The guy put our tickets in wrong, you don’t get to see anything really and never saw the Hollywood sign from the bus. the audio talks about other tours they sell and where to go shopping. Stops are not where it says on the map and you can’t track the buses. No signs to say where the stop is and the audio never tells you what stop your at. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Bus Tour LA - We waited for over an hour at the Santa Monica Pier stop for the bus. The bus never showed up and we decided to explore the city on our own since we only had one day in LA. We asked for a refund and were refused. We do not recommend this bus at all.

Give it a miss - I'm normally a fan of an open top tour bus but this was the worst one I've done. It only runs between 10am and something like 4pm, so you're not really getting your money's worth. The pre-recorded commentary was often out of sync with what we were seeing, and to fill the time between stops, it felt like they were feeding us adverts for places to eat. Some of the stops are rubbish too. We were originally going to include a second day for the Santa Monica line but didn't since they stop so early, and I was so glad we hadn't. We got the train to SM instead which was easy and cheap. Wouldn't recommend this tour at all to be honest. In contrast, we went to San Francisco after LA and we loved their tour bus!
