Do this! - Gamze was interesting and knowledgeable, fun and with an infectious laugh. We had 6 stops, enjoyed authentic Turkish food and drink in spaces we never would have found on our own. We would definitely recommend this tour. In hindsight it might have been better to do this on our first rather than last day as we would have returned to the area we toured

Fulfilling - Gamze was so energetic and happy to show us some of the cool spots in the new city district of Istanbul. We also stoped at different locations as she explained some historic areas. The food was amazing! We had exactly what a local would eat and advised us to get it in particular locations which are better done.

Unforgettable experience with a superb guide - Cannot overstate how much we enjoyed this experience. It was such a fun and inviting introduction to Turkish cuisine and culture with the benefit of an excellent guide. Gamze is a great conversationalist and spent the evening talking with us about Turkish food, culture, history, and all other topics throughout the night. I was worried that I may not like some of the dishes offered and would have to politely decline, but the food sampled at each spot was genuinely delicious and we left nothing on the plate…even once we were getting full! The tour was three hours long but the time went by very quickly and it didn’t feel that long at all. If the amount of walking concerns you, rest assured there is plenty of opportunity to sit and rest at each stop. If possible, I’d recommend tourists schedule this tour for their first night in İstanbul as it provided such a fantastic introduction to the city and you will receive so much useful information on foods you like, places you’d like to come back to shop at, etc. that will benefit you during the remainder of your vacation. I cannot recommend this tour, or Gamze as a tour guide, enough!

Local Flavors with a friend! - We loved our guide, Gamze. She showed us wonderful locals dining places which we loved. The variety of foods and flavors were perfect. So much fun . It felt like we were just friends hanging out!

A perfect introduction... - We literally landed in Istanbul, checked in, and then jumped straight onto this tour. It was the perfect introduction to this wonderful city and the incredible food of Türkiye. Our guide for the evening was Erol Ütgün. He had texted us via WhatsApp earlier in the day and was there to greet our small group of 8 as expected. From beginning to end, his pride in Türkiye, its history and its food, was front and centre. This tour was part culinary adventure, part history lesson, and great fun. From the intimate Kalinka Meyhane, with its mezze and raki, to the sweet delights of Turkish baklava, the entire evening was perfect. So much so, that we cancelled our dinner reservation the next night and set out to replicate our experience, armed with the confidence that came from Erol's expert guidance. Without doubt, this was the best decision we made. It really set us up for a great experience during our short, three-day visit to Istanbul. And it convinced us that next time we will stay much longer!
