Fantastic experience! - Fantastic and really well organised tour! Our guide Charre from the Crowded House team was so knowledgeable with great facts and stories about both Gallipoli and the city of Troy. Our accommodation in Canakkale was in a great spot and the town is fun and vibrant with plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Would highly recommend the 2-day tour!

Must do for any Aussie, Kiwi or Brit - Memorable experience visiting Gallipoli, very emotional, but a must do trip. Overnight stay to see Troy added to the experience. Pickup and drop off from our Hotel made everything so easy. Well informed guide with a balanced, empathetic account of events

A fantastic 2 days! - We had a wonderful time with Crowded House Gallipoli tours. We were very impressed with how well organised the tour was. Including pickup and drop off from Istanbul, stopping for lunch, the Troy and Gallipoli day tours and the accommodation booked for us. The tour guides, drivers and the staff at Crowded House Tours were kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. Worth every cent, I highly recommend!

Excellent, organised and professional tour! - Thr while tour was extremely professional. Both tour guides were so knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs. They both provided so much interesting information without getting bogged down with too much detail. The whole tour from the bus pick up, drop off's, lunch, ferry, tours, hotels was extremely organised and we felt safe and informed the whole time. Would highly recommend.

Awesome! - We booked this trip from Australia for myself and my 2 adult children. We were so impressed - door to door pick up and return from our accommodation, both guides were exceptional in their knowledge. The only criticism I can find is that one spoke quite quickly, and at times we had trouble keeping up with his information because he knew so much! I was assisted to find a family member, and I appreciated that😊 The accommodation was clean and satisfactory, and Sam escorted us both ways on the ferry to ensure we didn’t get lost! I’d recommend this to anyone wanting a tour of Gallipoli and Troy!

Very knowledgeable and interesting tour guide - Our guide for both days had 15 years experience as a Gallipoli & Troy guide. Being Turkish, he was able to give us a Turkish perspective on the Gallipoli campaign which we had not heard before. Gives you an even greater understanding of the sacrifice made by both sides.

Take the excellent guided tours but skip the hotel ! - The hotel was the most memoriable ….. noisy and uncomfortable … we were placed on the lowest floor on the street side adjacent to the night clubs which raged until the early hours of the morning ( hard to sleep after a huge day of travel & tours) …. We also had to carry our luggage to and from the ferry ( not good ) so many other hotels in Canakkale you could use other than this cheap one star . Having said that , our tours and our guides were 5 Star ! The guides were excellent , new their history and were also entertaining …. Also the drivers were excellent and safety conscious… the mini buses were modern , clean and well maintained.

Very interesting and informative - The tour was very nice. We stopped at 9:30 am for “refreshments” on the way, however, we got to a little seaside town for lunch only about 1.5 hrs later. No one was hungry for lunch, a lot of food went to waste. The provided lunch was pretty good, I had the vegan selection. The first afternoon was Gallipoi, which was rather fascinating being an American. We did not learn much about WWI in school, but going to this location was a unique experience. Many of our co-travelers were Australian or New Zealanders and we learned the significance of this location for them. We returned to the seaside town to take the ferry to Cannakle. It is a “college” town and rather quaint. The tour put us up in a boutique hotel that was very nice. However, it was located next to a night club and we inadvertently spent the entire night at the rave. No sleep was had, I developed a migraine, and the thumping music did not help. Now, I know what the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay experienced with sleep deprivation and loud noises. Breakfast was included and served at the restaurant next to the hotel. My vegan information was not relayed to that restaurant, so my choice was a roll and 5 olives. The rest of the plate was meat, eggs and cheese. The tour continued to Troy, which was my highlight, having studied Greek Mythology. There is so much more to Troy than in the books. How it was built in 9 levels and most of those levels can still be seen to this day.
