I couldn’t have found these gems on my own - I tried so many interesting Turkish foods, snacks, drinks, and desserts in one entertaining evening! Things I would never have thought to try - and in some cases I had no idea existed! Burak was engaging, using his expertise to show us the very local side of Istanbul. We didn’t see any other tour groups as we strolled the busy streets of the Asian side of Istanbul, and popped into so many market stands and restaurants to sample foods. Burak also gave us personal recommendations of things to do (and places to eat!) for the rest of our time in Istanbul, and he answered all our questions about Turkish history and current lifestyle that we could throw at him. I attended the tour as a solo traveler and was made to feel welcome and by the end we were hugging goodbye and exchanging info. Fab night out! Best way to get a broad layout of Istanbul and Turkish cuisine.

Taste of food and culture - Burak took us on a great foodie tour of Kadikoy. We got to experience a wide variety of authentic turkish street food combined with learning about the history and culture of this region. I only wish I had done this tour earlier in my trip.

Delicious exploration of Istanbul’s Asian side - This is a must try if in Istanbul. I was staying on the European side and had no recommendations for anything to do on the Asian side- this solved that problem. Salih-my guide- dropped bits of historical Istanbul knowledge while on the ferry over to Asia. I brought my appetite and the tour didn’t disappoint- from the birthplace of diner kebab to pistachio coffee (new for me) to the best kunafa I’ve ever had. I think the menu rotates, so the foods may be different in the future. If you’re a fan of history, food, and want to explore the Asian side of the city, I definitely recommend.

Great experience - definetly off the beaten tourist path - Very good experience with Burak, our tour guide. We did see a part of Istanbul we would otherwise never have visited. And we tasted some food we otherwise would not have dared to try. And we met people with the same interests which made it a very enjoyable evening. We definetly recommend this tour!

Brilliant food experience - Really great way to get to try so much of Turkish cuisine which may otherwise be missed. Also a great way to get to see the Anatolian side. Burak was a great guide and gave some great insight into life in Istanbul and the part the cuisine plays in that.

Istanbul- Asian and European food tour - We enjoyed this tour with Burak so much! We got to take a ferry over to the Asian side of Istanbul and tour various markets and neighborhood learning about their food and culture and finally ending back on the European side of Istanbul for dessert. The food was delicious and the information Burak provided was engaging and informative. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Istanbul. Well with the time and money!

Food brings people together - Cahill was a great food guide but also had a great knowledge of history. The tour went through the Asian side where locals eat so you experience real Turkey. Food brings people together and had a great time with the small group on the day. Would do it again and highly recommend.
