Our personal expirience - The costumer service was great, I was enjoying the whole treatment and was relaxed after. The girls who did the treatment were nice and knew what they were doing. If I ever come back to Istanbul, this is a must do.

Excellent Service! - Visited for a Hamman bath and oil massage on a recent visit to Istanbul with my son. I made the enquiry and got a prompt response. Upon arrival, my son & I were given a warm welcome. The place was tastefully decorated, clean and not too busy. Once we were given separate rooms to change with clean towels and slippers, we were taken to the steam room to relax on a marble slab. Although it was mixed, everyone had their own space and called individually into the bathroom - male scrubber for men and female scrubber for women. The female scrubber did a fantastic job, she was very experienced, gentle and knew her stuff. Afterwards we went upstairs to relax for a bit with juice and Turkish sweets before going for an oil massage which was relaxing! Tips are optional but it’s good to leave something especially for the scrubbers if no one else. I definitely recommend this place and would revisit on my next trip!

Intimate setting, great experience and would happily go again! - Last minute decision to visit a hamam and I called Aga Hamami and they quickly accommodated me. It is a smaller hamam but more intimate. It was my first time to a hamam but the staff were very helpful and kind. I loved everything about the experience and highly recommend Aga Hamami!

Best Turkish bath in Istanbul! - Taking a Turkish bath in a historic hamami is a must in Istanbul and the Aga is one of the best! Built by Mehmet II as a hunting lodge and hamami the building itself is historic. Now fully updated and restored, it’s a high end well curated Hamami. The staff are excellent. It’s got 3 levels and the upstairs are for lounging after your massage and bath. The inside main level has the bath and the private scrubbing area for men and women. The common heated marble is shared by both men and women. Though smaller in size than its neighbor the Tahri, Aga exceeds in service and the welcoming factor by the staff. Reserve are preferred but walks in are welcomed based on availability.

So luxurious and pampering - The hamami was incredibly beautiful and the experience was great. I felt so pampered and clean after the scrub and bubble wash - the bubbles were like liquid silk! I highly recommend this to anyone in Istanbul.

Wonderful! - What a great experience. It started off a little rough because we didn’t understand the process and our assistant didn’t speak English very well. Once we understood, it was amazing. We opted for the massage and it was worth the extra expense.

A Turkish Cultural Gem - We loved our experience here; the services are discreet and professional. The place is steeped in a deep and rich history…if only the walls could talk!

Overall good experience - Nice experience in Turkey!!! The scrubbing and bathing is intimate though so if that makes you uncomfortable, would not recommend. But overall was a great and relaxing experience. This is a traditional experience so definitely happy I got to do this!

Unprofessional - very bad - Hamam is typically a highlight of visiting Istanbul, but this place was one of the worst experiences I’ve had (and it’s not my first hamam in Istanbul). The receptionists were polite and friendly, and the marble slab room was passable, but the scrubbing and foaming ritual were awful. First, the lady performing the scrub wore very inappropriate attire (lace lingerie). She had many rings and long nails that scratched me during a poorly executed massage. She constantly checked her digital watch and seemed to hate her job. She used the same scrubbing cloth on my body first and then my face (not the other way around). Washing my hair was like washing a poodle dog with cheap shampoo, very rough and nothing natural. I had foam all over my face and wasn’t even allowed to wipe it from my eyes. At the end, when I was supposed to wrap a towel around myself, 3-4 women (presumably staff) entered the small room where the scrub was done, ambushing the space. The receptionist told me the woman who attended to me was the gentlest of all. I don’t want to imagine how the others are. She was also very aggressive in arranging my swimwear (they recommend bringing your own). Overall, there was hair everywhere, and the place was not clean.
