Highlights
  • Bhaktapur - Established in the 9th century, Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon, translates to ‘city of devotees.’ This historic city is a hub for ancient arts and architecture, surrounded by landmarks such as Durbar Square, the Nytapola Temple, and the 55-window palace constructed during the reign of King Bhupatindra Malla. The Nytapola Temple is a prime specimen of the Pagoda architectural style, erected on five levels with statues of notable strongmen, elephants, lions, deities, and griffins. Additionally, the area boasts Thanka paintings, the Dattraya Temple, Pujari Math, and numerous other cultural treasures.

Fun and informative day tour - This tour included Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhu, and Boudhanath. With Dinesh as a guide l learned so much about the sites, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Kathmandu & Nepal history. This was a great day tour and a fun time chatting with Dinesh as we explored the many buildings and features at these sites. Lunch with a view was a great part of the tour too.

Outstanding history and culture of Nepal and explanation of Hindu gods and traditions - Our guide, Dinesh Kark, was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to share Hindu traditions as well as the history and culture of Bhaktupur. He also took us to the best rooftop restaurant for expansive views of the city. Dinesh also took us to Pashupatinath Temple and to Swayambhu and was equally as knowledgeable. My sister had already been there with another guide and said she saw much more with Dinesh. He was kind and patient and just an all around good soul to spend time with. I highly recommend Dinesh and his company for any outing you are planning anywhere in Nepal.
