A Journey Through Time in Bhaktapur

As I stepped into the ancient city of Bhaktapur, I felt as though I had been transported back in time. The air was filled with the scent of incense and the distant sound of temple bells, creating an atmosphere that was both mystical and inviting. My journey began at Siddha Pokhari, a serene pond that has stood the test of time since the Lichhavi period. The tranquility of the water, coupled with the historical significance of the site, set the tone for the rest of my exploration.

Walking through the narrow alleys of Bhaktapur, I was captivated by the intricate wood carvings and the vibrant colors of the local markets. The Pottery Square was a hive of activity, with artisans skillfully crafting clay pots using techniques passed down through generations. The highlight of my visit was the live session on Juju Dhau making, a traditional yogurt that is a staple in Newari cuisine. The taste of the finished product, creamy and slightly sweet, was a delightful end to my day in Bhaktapur.
