The panorama provides an uninterrupted view of the Himalayan ranges, stretching from Mount Annapurna in the west to Mount Karolung in the east. Over twenty Himalayan peaks can be seen in their full splendor from various vantage points in Nagarkot. Here, you can capture photos of the mountains and other picturesque spots in the village.
The Himalayan atmosphere and ecology will astonish anyone, making it an unforgettable experience.
Next, you’ll hike back from Nagarkot to Changunarayan, a journey of about three hours. This popular trail descends from Nagarkot along a ridge to the Changunarayan temple, offering views of Sankhu village. Changunarayan is located at the end of a long ridge extending into the valley and is believed to have been built in 323 AD by King Hari Datta Varma. You’ll visit the richly decorated Changunarayan temple, said to be the oldest in the valley. After exploring Changunarayan, you’ll board a vehicle back to Kathmandu.
