Thimphu District - Upon arrival at Paro Airport, guests will be greeted by their guide and transported by road to Thimphu. After lunch, a trip briefing and orientation of the Royal Enfield Motorcycle will be conducted. This afternoon, enjoy an introductory ride north to Begana Village to get acquainted with the bike and experience the first impressions of Bhutan.

Return to the hotel and proceed to a welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant.

Punakha to Trongsa Tangsibje

Trongsa - After breakfast, visit Lobesa Village to receive a blessing from ‘The Divine Madman’ at the Chhimi Lhakhang, also known as the Fertility Monastery. The guide will share the entire story about it.

Continue to Pelela Pass on a scenic road that winds along the Dangchu River, through forests of chirpine and oak. After lunch at Nobding, layer up as the elevation increases to reach Pelela Pass at 3200m. The road meanders through charming villages of yak herders down to Tangsibje Village. Stay overnight in the Tangsibji heritage house, built by the guide’s grandfather in the 1960s. This tour operator is the only one in Bhutan taking visitors to this beautiful village, considered one of the most picturesque in the Trongsa district, offering a truly off-the-beaten-path experience.

Tangsibji to Bumthang via Ura by-pass

Bumthang Cultural Immersion on a Motorcycle

Jakar - Enjoy an easy day exploring Bumthang’s cultural attractions. Begin with a visit to the 7th-century Jambay Lhakhang Temple, built by King Songtsen Gampo of Tibet.

Ride to the country’s first craft brewery to sample the famous Red Panda beer and visit the Cheese Factory to see how local Gouda cheese is made, enjoying it with locally brewed Red Panda beer. In the afternoon, ride back to Tamshing Lhakhang, founded in 1501 by Terton Pema Lingpa, and restored at the end of the 19th century. Stroll around Chamkhar Town, which retains some of the old characteristics of a rural town.

Bumthang to Gangtey Valley

Gangtey to Haa Valley

Haa Valley - Today, ride all the way to Haa Valley. Continue westward to Thimphu, then proceed to the confluence at Chunzom, head down to Tsimakoti, and take the diversion to Haa Valley, a nomadic town in western Bhutan. This is one of the best stretches of undulating roads, perfect for a motorcycle experience.

Explore the quaint little town in the evening and stay overnight in a lovely lodge set in a beautiful rural environment.

Haa to Paro

Paro - Begin the ride towards Paro. After leaving the valley floor, enjoy 25 km of beautiful single-lane road to Bhutan’s highest motor road at Chele La Pass, 4000m. At the pass, make a quick stop to appreciate the views of the underlying valleys and the mountains of Jomolhari Peak and Kanchenjunga. Descend to Paro Valley for 36 km, and ride towards Shana on the northern side of the valley, returning to Paro in the afternoon.

Explore this tourist-friendly town on foot, visit some bars with live music, and for those who want to dance the night away, a visit to a favorite discotheque can be arranged. Today’s ride is the last, as tomorrow is a cultural day best explored on foot.
