THIMPHU- PHOBJIKHA (135 KMS/5-6 HOUR)
Dochula Pass - Drive via Dochu-la pass (3,088m/10,130ft) stopping briefly here to take in the view and admire the 108 chortens, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road.
If skies are clear, the high Himalayan peaks towards the north east will be revealed in all their glory. On a clear day, the following peaks can be seen from this pass (left to right): Masagang (7,158m), Tsendegang (6,960m), Terigang (7,060m), Jejegangphugang (7,158m), Kangphugang (7,170m), Zongaphugang (7,060m) a table mountain that dominates the isolated region of Lunana, and finally, Gangkar Puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m.

Gangtey Monastery - • Gangtey Goenpa: is the main seat of the Pema Lingpa tradition which was established in 1613 by Gangteng Sangngak Choling.It overlooks the Phobjikha Valley.
In the evening you can take part in Evening prayer or have a discussion on Buddhism with the learned teacher.
Later join the dinner with the monks.
DAY 3 – GANGTEY SHEDRA
Gangtey Monastery - Schedule Activities
- You can participate in morning prayer from 5:30 AM to 6:15Am
- We can have an evening meditation class from 5:30pm to 6:30pm on Samantha meditation, loving and kindness or Vipassana.

DAY 4: GANGTEY TO PUNAKHA (78KMS/3HRS)
Punakha Dzong - Visit the ancient Punakha Dzong (a Dzong is a fortress-monastery) which dates back to the 17th century, spectacularly situated at the confluence of the Mo and Pho Rivers.
Chimi Lhakhang Temple - • You will also have an optional short walk across the rice paddies to visit nearby Chimi Lhakhang, a lovely temple built by Lama Drukpa Kunley. Legend has it he subdued the demoness of the Dochu La with his “Magic Thunderbolt of Wisdom. “A wood effigy of the lama’s thunderbolt is preserved in the Lhakhang, and childless women go to the temple to receive a Wang (blessing) from the saint.
Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten - After Lunch we can hike to Khamsum Yulley.
Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten: Built by the Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck, this Chorten is a splendid example of the Bhutanese architecture. It was built over eight and a half years and its details have been drawn from religious scriptures.
PUNAKHA TO PARO (120KMS/4HRS)
PARO TAKTSHANG HIKE (4-6 HOURS)
Paro Taktsang - Hike to Taktshang Monastery, one of the holiest and the most beautiful sites of Bhutan. Taktshang, the tiger’s lair, acquires its name from the legend of its foundation, when in the 8th Century Guru Rinpoche, widely revered as the second Buddha, arrived from Tibet flying across the mountains on the back of a tigress.
Kyichu Lhakhang - Visit the Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
Dzongdrakha Temple - Detour another holy place at Paro where the great master have meditated.
