Embark on an exclusive guided mountain bike tour of Anna Ranch, a National Historic Site and active ranch. The lush, rolling hills of this 110-acre ranch lie at the base of the Kohala Mountains, once the training grounds for King Kamehameha’s Kipu‘u pu‘u Warriors. This mountain bike tour is both family-friendly and challenging, offering insights into Hawaiian history and culture. As you ride through the cool, verdant uplands of Waimea, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai. We’ll start with a brief introduction to Anna’s legacy as the original Hawaiian Cowgirl and the First Lady of Ranching. Then we’ll ride directly from the ranch, crossing the Kohakohau Stream and ascending nearly 1200 feet to our snack spot and vista point, pausing along the way to explore the historic and cultural aspects of this unique aina (land).
