These trees are nestled in the Hawaiian rainforest on the eastern side of the Big Island. The property is situated on an 800-year-old lava flow and boasts over 150 apple banana trees, along with various other tropical plants. Our team will share insights into our planting and cultivation methods. Guests will have the chance to engage in hands-on activities, such as propagating live trees, examining the inner stem, and harvesting fruit directly from our banana tree collection! Once a banana tree produces fruit, it must be cut down, and visitors will have the opportunity to do the cutting. They will open the inner stalk to reveal the edible core. After harvesting the fruit directly from the tree, guests will cut the seeding flower and plant it to grow a new banana tree.
