• Kaalualu Waiohinu Road - Embark on an adventurous journey to a Hawaiian lava tube, where you’ll learn about its history and the surrounding area. The visit lasts around 15 minutes. Next, enjoy a thrilling 4WD ride over a lava flow to a scenic lookout point, offering more historical insights and fantastic photo opportunities, with a 15-minute stop. The adventure continues through an ancient Kiawe forest on a dirt trail, leading to a vast lava flow at Ka’alualu Bay. Here, you’ll relax under a shade tree for about 25 minutes to enjoy lunch or snacks. The tour then proceeds to Paiaha’a Bay to explore green sand, a perfect spot for photos, with a 10-minute visit. Following this, experience a cliff drive along the ocean to Pulehua Island, where a hike to a peninsula reveals green sea turtles and tropical fish, offering the best photo opportunities of the tour. You might even spot Mr. Blue, the resident Parrot fish, during the 15-minute stop. The tour concludes with a return trip to explore more lava tubes before heading back, lasting approximately 45 minutes.
